¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good chat and I'm not being arsey, I love talking football but I think I'm absolutely right about Atletico. There are numerous Athletic, Athletico and Atleticos in Spain but in Madrid they like to be what they are rather than connected to Real by Madrid. I've read about it.Inter have long been established that. Atletico I'm not sure your right there.
Each club has unique circumstances. Many of our fans want Manchester to be prominent, this probably factored into this badge design (albeit not the main reason as we know Football club made it cluttered). Real are more than likely referred to as Madrid in and out of Spain because Real, is used by many spanish clubs so if you like their case is the opposite to us going with just 'City'. Real being an honour bestowed by the crown, it's not just simply a chosen name either.
The club is clearly trying to push a worldwide CFG 'City' brand but it's a bit at odds with fans that want us to proudly present the club's unique identity.
The point I was trying to make anyway, was if it's a partly a case of using 'City' because it's shorter and really easy to say (like Inter) as oppose to Manchester which could be seen as a bit long-winded (hence, "Man City") - well that's not really the case because foreigners do refer to either club as just Manchester, like people here say Madrid.
With the rags in a trough (which hopefully continues for time eternal), we have the opportunity at this time to establish "Manchester" with ourselves - if the club wanted to.
You're older than me? Hahaha... do one twinkle... old enough to be your dad... in fact, what's your mum's name?
As for the kits, yep people did moan about the soundwave kit, you fuckwit – check back if you can be arsed... I wasn't one of them, I didn't mind that kit it was Skyblue and White. The Reebok kits were shite, but had minimal navy blue, which made them look less like Coventry, but were moaned about too – they came before the explosion of social media though.
As for embarrasing, you know what is embarrasing pal... you and your fucking apathy to this subject. Yeah, we all agree that the Sheikh has done wonders for this club, we can never thank him enough... doesn't mean the heritage of the club should be changed... look at Vincent Tan at Cardiff for the prime example.
So yeah, the kit is out there and people will/will not buy it as they want, but this is a thread to discuss the kit – you don't see why? Fair enough, but why be a nob about it, simply say you're not arsed or don't comment at all
All of this isn't strictly true though is it? In Spain, Atletico Madrid are referred to as Atletico. Real are known as Madrid. Referring to Atletico as just Madrid would get the back up of any self respecting Colchonero.
Similarly in Italy, AC are known as Milan or Milano. Us English called the blue and blacks Inter Milan but their official name is Internazionale.
Today I flicked my desktop calendar over to July and was met with a picture of Bert Trautmann flying through the air with a backdrop of a packed, uncovered Kippax terrace. There at the top, proudly fluttering in the Moss Side breeze was a giant flag with the legendary "CITY FC" emblazoned across it.
I think some of our fans have worried about the other lot far too much over the years and feel that if we don't slap the name of our city across everything, people might forget that we are from Manchester.
Mate what's embarrassing is that you needed to resort to calling me a fuckwit, making remarks about my family and becoming aggressive when speaking about a football shirt just to try and get your point across, someone of your age should really know better.
R.e. Vincent tan he changed Cardiff from blue to red hardly the same is it. Our shirts still blue although with navy sleeves so wouldn't say that was a stain on the clubs heritage in anyway.
I wasn't saying what I said to be a nob, it was simply an observation of how many grown men are so emtional about navy sleeves and flapping about how there not going buy it and how there going to convince City to change it. Ha.
Regardless what ever shirt you choose to wear to matches I'm sure it will look beltin with your Burtons jeans, primark hoodie, the trainers your mrs (or Mr) bought you and that well earnt beer belly.
All the best gramps.
