We'll have to live with it for a season but I certainly hope it proves to be a poor seller so that the club understand it is not what the supporters expect of our kit.
In my opinion it is one of the worst kits in our history, not only because of the haphazard colour scheme (if you could even call it that), but because we'll have the same kit as every other Nike outfitted club. That's not even taking into account the horrendous away kit—I think that was designed via random template element colour assigner to reduce costs.
To be honest, even if we win the treble in it (I'm keeping my expectations low ;-) ) I wouldn't buy it—I'll just go for one of the retro shirts and see if I can get it signed on holiday (I've been exiled to the US where all the young lads seem to love the new shirt... Shudders).
that's the problem, Nike are changing our identity to go after new fans who just want something funky and different to wear, and have no understanding or interest in our real identity. Nike are catering to a market that isn't City fans.
