i'd would never buy a New Balance kit, only because of childhood flashbacks when we were ridiculed on the playground because we couldn't afford Adidas, or Nike or Reebok Pump trainers so we had to settle for New Balance or Gola ... will always be seen as cheap in my eyes.

Id be happy with new balance. They've got good sponsorship deals with clubs/players. I know it's not a barometer of the brand as a whole, but their football boots Are one of the most expensive on the market.

Our umbra kits last time were good but they've been swallowed up by Nike and reborn since then and I haven't seen much quality since then. I dunno how much of a comparison there is between before and after the Nike intervention.

Umbro were owned by Nike when we had them. When Nike sold Umbro off they transferred to contrat to the parent company. Hence why we have ended up with Nike after only a few years with Umbro.

I don't think they're quality. They look traditional but thats not everything.

Ok. I still don't think that means that Umbro now has much connection to the old Umbro.

Looking back at Umbro, some are terrible. The strippy ones in the mid 80's look awful.

The point I was making was, that everyone seems to say everything Nike does is rubbish whereas Umbro produce the best kits ever, I just don't get it

And nike at least gave us this year's home kit. Which was real top class my opinion.

They are hit and miss it seams.
