2010 Umbro, so simple without any stupid artistic rubbish. Best in ages, white shorts blue socks.

Sorted.

Alf Twinn in 1950 wanted to replicate the original sky/light blue that Cambridge rowers had adopted in the Mid 19thC which is believed by many to come from Eton blue as the Cambridge rowers were provided with a sash of Eton blue ribbon to contrast with darker Oxford blue. To recreate this he added more yellow to the shade of blue which of course creates a more greenish hue of blue and Pantone 557 is the nearest Pantone colour to this shade. City adopting Cambridge blue in 1894 but as we know City's sky blue has changed shades many times.

For what it's worth I like the accent of navy in contrast to sky blue if the leaks are correct in this thread.

Eton blue is recorded as being 'Sky Blue' but on search the colour varies widely – as for Cambridge the addition of yellow is recorded as being a 1950s thing, also worth pointing out that only the Rowing team adopted this colour until very recently – the Rugby team, for example, still wore sky blue. The Rowing team originally wore white.

Point remains though, that at the time we were formed, Cambridge blue was Sky Blue - not the colour they have now.

Gavin Hastings playing for Cambridge by way of an example...
