If that had dark navy socks it'd be a nice 90s throwback. The thing with the white you mention - it doesn't make Nike or Etihad stand out as much, which obviously is their biggest interest.

I get RDOG's point though. We SHOULD be consistently sky blue with white trim and white shorts. The fact that we aren't is disappointing, but it never ruins my day.

I agree that we ought to go with that we should have a consistent home kit, as described, but in my 50 years supporting the club, we never have. The variations have got worse but we are still MCFC and no one mistakes us for Coventry or Lazio or Napoli or Everton...

I wouldn't mind if they tampered with our colours slightly if it actually looked good, but that's just horrible...
 
It should be simple to make a City kit

Blue shirt
White shorts
Blue or Navy or White socks.

And maybe a lick of maroon somewhere.
 
change the badge then keep the shirt continuity, change the shirt then keep the badge continuity, but to change both is a mistake, especially when they are both radical changes.

the really worrying thing is that with the new badge and more promotion around the world, new fans will think that this is our normal colours.
