Don't really want to debate this.I haven't been priced out. As I said it is getting very expensive-I never said tough shit at all so don't start bullshitting. I actually said it's a price that we have to pay for what is going on at the club. We want the best then we have to pay for it. I am not saying it is correct but I suppose it's life. I want the club to freeze prices for the fans who are not as fortunate as me to have 2 above average incomes.
I have a ceiling of which I will not go above. It's all about what any fan is willing to pay. At the moment I am still within my ceiling.

Do you not find that if you have a little bit more money then you've got a more expensive car, bigger house, you take another Holiday or just spend more Shopping? I think only the super rich are the ones who pay out for everything without having to worry about the expense.

What we really need to do is wait to see what the deal is with next season and make a judgement.

Agree 100% totally Peoff. You live to your means and sometimes above it. Nothing official from City so I think it may just be the rumour brigade

Re: Next Years Season Ticket Info

After my disappointment of Wembley I'm really looking forward to next season.

Anyone know when in June the relocation window will be?

Compulsory Cup Schemes and an extra payment on top to allow priority over choosing new seats will go down like a lead balloon. One idea I had is that they'll force you to join one Cup Scheme to guarantee a seat for every home tie and then priority for Semi Finals and Finals.

The price increases are above inflation so I'm paying more and more.

Pretty sure you do mate.

I wanna relocate from 307 to 107/108 or 211/212 next season if possible, getting 3 together might be a problem though.

It's water under the bridge now, but this time last year I had a right old barney with you because your attitude on this subject was "anyone who is priced out, tough shit, I'd like to be able to afford a Ferrari but I can't and this is exactly the same thing."

I remember that, st helens view was like you have stated- anyone who cant afford it than tough shit...... along those lines :) Maybe hes being priced out and now realised that the rise in prices is wrong ? This seems to be happening to a lot of people.

I'm going to look like a real sad bastard now...

This is a quote from a thread on this very same topic last year.

I have been there through all the bad times-Does that make me loyal or a glory hunter?

I do not blame the club one bit for raising prices. What does it go against mate? We were run if we are honest by clowns and had it not been for Mansour we could quite easily be where Pompey are.....The club recognises the support the fans have given and always given but what do you want? A free ticket each week. I think you need to wobble your head bud. I hate paying £175 per week for my shopping bill, but I choose to continue to shop at Tesco instead of going to Aldi etc. Do you think Tesco will drop their prices for me for years of loyal shopping there?

It just strikes me as odd set against your concern about being priced out now.

And you are probably right, although I definitely can't be bothered searching, the phrase "tough shit" was probably never used. Although it was most certainly the tone of the debate. All over that thread you are telling people that it is 'tough' (without necessarily using that wor) if they get priced out as there are loads of things you are priced out of doing (and the Ferrari is a direct quote) and that if they want to be able to watch City they should have worked harder, got a better job and/or give up smoking and give up Sky television.

I recall it as I having rarely been more pissed off reading a thread on here. I found that attitude to be disgraceful, full of ridiculous assumptions and totally lacking in empathy, to be honest.

Basically, your opinion was that the club should be able to do what they want with prices and why should they give a shit if loads of genuine fans, who are probably fecklessly wasting their money elsewhere and should have worked harder at school, are priced out. Seems at odds with your concern now.

£175 for shopping. Im a fat bloke with wife and 2 boys and we spend at very most a third of that, and we shop at sainsburies. Sorry this shocked me , how big is your family.

I could even feed Didsbury Dave's ego for £175

Is the 8% increase confirmed or just speculation.

I paid £550 in SL2 last season. If it's an 8% increase that takes me to £594 notes. My limit is £650 so probably one or 2 seasons more for me.

Good job I saved up £350 in 20p's and 50p's...Season ticket will cost me in essence £250 sheets this year. It is getting very expensive-just thought the club would have frozen prices this year.

Anyway, glad that you have seen the light. The fans are the one constant at this club and it is, relatively, worth absolutely nothing to the club to treat them well. The club could charge £200 per season ticket and it would barely register on the bottom line. Especially given the way they will splash silly money on all sorts of other matter at the drop of a hat. However, because it is some tosser's job to squeeze every bit of revenue out of the fans that they can, this is ignored. All in the name of someone making a name for themselves as a second rate business guru. Funny really, as a monkey could squeeze money out of football fans. They are just about the most receptive market around. So whoever gets aroused by the column titled 'Fan Revenue' going up really shouldn't. It doesn't exactly make you Warren Buffett.

boi that's some recollection nothing quite as satisfying as saying I told you so

Round by round prices for cup scheme members should be published in advance of people signing up to give people an informed choice.

I know there is only 1 game in the FA Cup above the cap and 2 in the League Cup, but for the most expensive cup competition there is nothing.

Tough Draw = £40
Rubin Kazan etc... = £30

Last year:
Dortmund £30
Ajax £30
Madrid £40

Those prices were £5 less than if not on the cup scheme.

It is knowing what next year's policy will be that is the problem.

Clearly no more than £35 for your bog standard group game.

Basically, budget for £105 for the 3 group games I would say.

Then you'd expect for L16 they'd at least up it to £40/5
Can they really go to £50 for a QF? prob £45 for both L16 and QF, lets say £50 for semi.

That's £140 for knockout rounds. £245 overall.

It's an extra half season-ticket for 6 games.
