I'm not sure he's destroyed his rep. It seems like neymars reps were in contact with City and had attended CFA last week, but his wage demands were too high- even when considering a payout from his current 750k

Then neymar need to consider at this point of his career, do he need more money or chasing personal ambition?

He need to take huge amount of paycut to chase personal ambition by joining our team and realize his dream playing under Pep Guardiola. Will he let go all the money for that?
