Another reason why psg signed Alves
I wouldn't be surprised if the only reason PSG went after Neymar was to teach Barca a lesson and send a message to every other club out there that PSG won't be messed around with. Who is going to be brave enough to tap up one of their players behind their back after this.
:)Us hopefully. Who made those cünts the fucking gods of football? Fucking shit league, like a continental version of the SPL.
Hopefully we'll make our own statement and show the same bollocks and ambition. Wish we'd signed him.
No they're not the gods of football, but the message they've sent, if that's what it is, is unmistakable and why would we want a war with them anyway, there wouldn't be any winners as far as I can see. The way most transfers are conducted is against the rules i.e unsettle the player and then make a bid, and we seem to be as good as anybody at doing that. Maybe there'll come a time when we will have to take a similar stand to warn off any sharks that might fancy their chances with one of our stars.Us hopefully. Reading so much garbage along the lines of 'if this was Real Madrid, Man United, Bayern Munich or Barcelona themselves who pulled off such a transfer, it would be ok, but this is a club who don't have the money it's Qatar who are essentially buying him'.
Where are people fed this garbage from? Why is it ok for the status quo to bully fucking everyone and get away with it for decades but it's not ok for a club like city or PSG to rock the boat?
I'm not so sure that the status quo clubs I've mentioned all get their money from good honest sources anyway.
I'll disagree with you on that one. I'd fucking love us to have won the league by Christmas and absolutely dominate for years to come.Last season was the first for a few that PSG hadn't won the French league by the end of February with Monaco giving them competition. Now with so many players sold I don't see Monaco as anything other than one of several also rans. PSG will probably be 30 points up by Christmas and have the title won. Neymar to be nailed on Golden Boot. Not sure if I would want that for City? Part of me says it would be great but a lot of the pleasure would be gone.
Qatar's money is enabling a French football club, who are privately owned by a Qatari businessman, to buy Neymar. There is a quite a big difference between the business model of MCFC and PSG but because they are both linked to the middle-east, they are both regarded in the same light by English football fans. Etihad Airlines is synonymous with MCFC but if you took away their sponsorship City could probably find another sponsor tomorrow on much more favourable terms and prosper and survive. I am not sure you could say the same about PSG. I am not arguing for or against PSG, but I think there are differences to MCFC. I agree that had Man Utd pulled this deal off, it would be getting hysterically positive media coverage.Reading so much garbage along the lines of 'if this was Real Madrid, Man United, Bayern Munich or Barcelona themselves who pulled off such a transfer, it would be ok, but this is a club who don't have the money it's Qatar who are essentially buying him'.
