He has finally started the hostility publically in person.
The transfer has to be done. Both parties are at war. I just hope PSG will stand their ground and won't accept anything lower than their initial asking price.
Nice one !
WHAT!Nice one !
Look.I was going to let this drop, since I felt I'd been clear. But since you've come back on this, I'll expound: the answer is obvious. Nasser and the Qataris stump up the money. Your sporting director does the negotiating. Who actually works with the player on a daily basis? Who integrates him into his playing system? And who carries the can if that player does not come up to the mark? The coach. He should be totally involved at every point, and especially at the unveiling, since it would be absolutely astonishing if he had not had a major – if not the major – say on recruiting this or that player. The player is not merely the choice of Qatar (or Abu Dhabi, if you want) — he is above all the choice of the coach, who has identified an area that needs shoring up. It is unimaginable that Pep would not be present at the presentation to the world's press of a major recruitment. It just wouldn't happen. But to be fair, it wouldn't happen with Klopp at Liverpool either. Or Pochettino at Spurs. They are all of them central to everything that is done at their clubs, and they are paid big, big money for being so.
Unless of course the recruitment of a player was mainly conceived of as being a marketing exercise for the worldwide image of the club concerned…
I would love them to have the balls to bench him, disrespectful mother fucker,he needs taking down a peg or twoNasser can never recuperate the money paid for Neymar, no one will pay the initial investment much less the laughable valuation of 350M on the heels of calling him out publicly. Of course, they have limitless funds and can merely let him rot out the rest of his contract rather than let anyone else have him. Doesn't mean brand Neymar won't go to whatever lengths to make it as painful as possible while averting fines. It's a big clash of egos, neither will blink but perhaps Leonardo & Tuchel will have some influence on the outcome despite the fury of Nasser & PSG
I expect Nasser to respond & meaning it will only escalate, from there it's either a soap opera of epic proportions for weeks or Leonardo/Tuchel insist he's moved - in which case they'll have to accept whatever Barca will be willing to offer. I think Bartomeu will hold out on making it a no cash deal involving only players (Coutinho being the prime piece to it). He's a luxury buy so I don't believe Bartomeu will sweeten any offers to bring it over the line, PSG will either vanquish him to bench purgatory or eventually sell him cut rate
First, you chose stop to dissociate PSG owners and Leonardo. The appointment of Leonardo is not a coincidence. It has been decided during a meeting in Qatar capital, Doha.Nasser can never recuperate the money paid for Neymar, no one will pay the initial investment much less the laughable valuation of 350M on the heels of calling him out publicly. I also think there's a fair argument that what Neymar was quoted as saying (Which has largely been misrepresented, as well tbf) regarding favorite lockerroom memory, while an obvious dig at PSG owners, it was also a euphoric & historic match. Felt authentic in terms of him valuing it as a memory but almost certainly a planted question to get the desired effect in the answer
