wow check the raider hate on here, i'd have thought city fans might be a bit more empathetic to a team with a rich history going through a tough time

Can't think of anything more appropriate than for a boy from longsight to play in front of those fans

Really cheered me up this and great publicity for city over there - things can turn round quick in the NFL

As a Chiefs fan since the late 1960's, I actually am sympathetic to the Raiduhs, mainly because I feel sorry for their fanbase, one of the best in all of Yank pro sports. Raiduhs won't contend for at least 3 seasons, but Reggie McKenzie is a very talented GM, and will bring the franchise back, if given time. I'll definitely follow and support Menelik Watson, who is very raw, but has great athletic potential. Very nice pick for the Raiduhs, but where are the DL's for next season?

I bet you and I have the same opinion of the Broncs, eh?!

Saying you are a Chiefs fan that has sympathy for the raiders is like us having any sympathy for the Rags! Thats just not on!!!

I used to be a big Chiefs fan back in the AFL days when they would go at it hammer and tong with Len Dawson v Ben davidson and Daryle Lamonica v Willie Lanier and even remember ancient George Blanda coming off the bench to spark some comebacks!!!

We absolutely killed it this draft. 2 instant starters for the ginger king. and a legit tower defensive mid that can block shit like no other!!. Steelers, Falcons are fucked !

How exactly?

He confused the Falcons and the Ravens I'm guessing. Atlanta is probably his other favorite team!

Watson just went to the Oakland Raiders, drafted at pick number 42.

The Raiders aren't brilliant, put it that way. Haha! They'll probably end up with a very high draft pick next year, maybe even number 1.

Pretty hardcore fanbase though from what I've seen, I think most people from LA still support them from when they were based there.

They have been shit for years, but with the NFL, franchises can turn round quickly.

Their fans are among the worst in the States. Think Millwall....

That's a bit harsh...Millwall??? Eagles fans are known as the worst in the NFL. I go over to Oakland every two years and I have never seen any trouble. All fans mix together before games at tailgate parties drinking beer and having BBQ's and then also in the stands and all I ever see is banter. Raiders fans are some of the most welcoming and accepting fans in the NFL. Silver and Black forever. Raider Nation!

As an Eaqgles fan I take exception. All those brawls that have occured in the recent years have largly been Raiders vs 49ers games. Philly gets a bad rap. Denver fans have thrown batteries at players. Cleveland threw bottles at the reffs. etc.. all we ever did is boo. Oh, and throw snow balls at Jimmy Johnson. But I think we should get bonus points for that.

Say anything, but say it with conviction, and someone, somewhere, is bound to fall for it! Raider home fans infamous for ganging up and beating up on fans of other teams in the Coliseum bathrooms.

Hello, old-timer. Good to see you still carry the memories of that once-great rivalry. But why, oh why, do you persist in posting on that ridiculous board known far and wide as "The Irrationals" - surely you have more quality than that?

-- Sat Apr 27, 2013 8:04 pm --

No bonus points for the snowballs. After all, the ones that hit the greasy target simply skidded off it, like an aeroplane sliding off a runway covered with six inches of cooking oil...

Ive been a Bengals fan since '85 for my sins, and at present we're looking to draft someone at that position. Like many of you have said, having someone of note in the NFL would be great, blue and its even better!

WHO DEY?! Nice to see another Bengal fan on here. Word was that had Andre Smith not re-signed that we has Manelik rated as top tackle available. Would have been something!
