NFL Football

So I finally did it...... went to my first NFL game on Sunday, local derby between Tampa Bay Bucs and Atlanta - we had free tickets via work - and have to say what a load of shite it was, apart from the last 4 mins and I am still not sure what happened in the last 40 seconds!
Tampa were losing and got two tries (or whatever they call them) to be 1 point in front with about 2 mins left......
With something like 40 secs left Atlanta (in front of the goal) ''took the knee'' (which I thought you only did if you didn't want to sing the national anthem) not once but twice.... for some reason beyond my comprehension this meant the clock zoomed forward to 4 seconds remaining..... Atlanta scored with a kick and the game ended with a defeat to the Bucs.... That last 40 seconds took about 20 minutes.... with time outs and all kinds of shenanigans going on

The rest of the game was just way too stop start / stop start with all sorts of nonsense going in in between (adverts, charity announcements, daft games played by fans etc) as well as the fan cam..... blasting popular rap / hip hop style tunes over the tannoy and showing white people making fools of themselves trying to look cool dancing to it over the video screens... at the beginning of the game three fighter jets flew over the stadium and about an hour later there are the 3 pilots on the field waving to everyone, and the crowd being urged to stand up and thank them for keeping us safe.... it was just way too much razzamatazz with a bit of sporting action thrown in between.....
However, I did notice lots of women attracted to the game (and alcohol) so there could be a positive side attraction if I want to go again (without 12 kids and 2 other staff from work....)
The highlight of the day was when I was casting my eyes around the stadium and saw a tribute to (I assumed) former players, and noticed this one particular name displayed proudly....... the bloke in question used to own the club before sadly departing the world a few years ago.....god bless Uncle Malcolm.....

I went to a televised college game in Boise, same thing, fucking agonising. Left at half time.
Great marching band mind you

Does this mean you are 1/4 rag now since you attend their owner's other team? And yes, this is obviously a piss take

It's not for everyone, I get that. A bit like that c*** Morrissey.

Being a dolphin fan is like City in the 90s every couple of seasons we sack the head coach and try to turn a corner, watching the pats go to the play offs every season is nauseating.
