Niall Quinn

Oh short short memories people. Quinn was incredibly biased toward us last season. Not only the last day of the season but throughout the year. Everyone, not just rag mates were moaning and moaning about it. Quinn has heard all of this and is now over-compensating in the other direction. This coupled with him being just a poor commentator anyway leads to my view that the sooner Sky cut him the better. Will never forget his contribution for us on the pitch though.

Not bothered about anything he says and glad to honestly say I was a lone voice who didn't even like him as a player. The main point surely is that he's just a really poor pundit/ commentator. No balanced view, and nothing interesting to say. Would far rather have Neville do every one of our games, somehow manages to be unbiased, and far and away the most thoughtful/ insightful pundit there is.

agreed he is a bit on the biased side always liked him though as i am a sunderland supporter and a fellow irishman

i think some of you need to get a grip!
there are plenty of biased commentators out there but quinn isn't 1 of them.
His affection for City is obvious (and unprofessional) - it really is time for some of you to lighten up!

"I learned my trade at Arsenal, became a footballer at Manchester City, but Sunderland got under my skin. I love Sunderland."

Sunderland are one of Fergie's allies.
Look at how hard they play against us
How many ex reds have played or still play for them? Most of whom went while Steve Bruce was boss.
Incidentally, Utd have sold 2 players to Hull (Steve Bruce's current team) on the cheap in January window.
And they have sent 2 players out on loan to Peterborough - Darren's team.
Talk about Godfather tactics to manipulate and control "the family"
Moyes, Mc Leish, Wigan FC (ex Bruce) are beneficiaries of favours
Looks to me like Quinny is another fearer of Fergie

We all know there is no such thing as a free lunch in business

He probably had something to do with Shergar disappearing!
And he's keeping the head for Mancini

This.

If you go on rag cafe they all think Quinny is as biased as they come for us and is Sky's designated City pundit. Truth is though is he is just crap at that job and imparts next to no insightful tactical analysis of the match.

I disagree. His "Stupendous" quote was one of the most sagaciously perspicacious dissections and lyrically ebullient summations of a goal in the entire history of televisual commentary.

It makes "They think it's all over..." sound like the drunken ramblings of a village idiot.
