Niall Quinn

Can't say that either Quinn or Tyler bothers me unduly. 3 out of 10 at best on the Eamonn Holmes scale of irritating cnuts. The only thing that does grate in a European context is the downbeat reaction to our goals compared to our opponents'. I can almost understand it domestically, where they might want an underdog to upset the apple cart against us, but in the Chimps League it's inexcusable. As a balance though, Sky's regular studio pundits have been pretty complimentary about us. Souness said last night that he likes us a lot, Carragher's been sensible so far, and I'd never have pegged Neville as a rag from the way he talks about us. Very fair.
Compare them to Steve Wilson who commentated on the Everton game a couple of weeks ago, or how that blurt Craig Burley used to talk about us a couple of years ago and you'll realise Quinn and Tyler ain't that bitter after all

To think he's in our Hall of Fame - I simply don't see him as a City legend, good player but sometimes that's not enough it's also how you behave and act towards the club and the fans. Quinn is a bit of an arrogant prick who spends far too much time with Dunderhead.

Never heard him say a bad thing about City - plus he helped us out when Chairman of Sunderland.

Read his book - you won't find many compliments. To be fair most of his acidic comments are aimed at Swales but he was clearly looking to take the club for every penny....

Lake was similar about City, and Goater's book is more wage focused from what I remember. Not many City fans have good things to say about how the club was run in the Swales/Lee era.

I must admit that some of his comments about City are very strange for an ex player..

If you watch the QPR game again,he sounded as though he wanted us to win..
