The reason you should never put individual players on a pedestal. It's a job for them. They make all the right noises while they play for us but they never feel the same about the club deep down as we do.

Maybe, just maybe once in a while there's the odd player with a genuine affinity, but for most, the best you're going to get it a fond memory or they didn't enjoy their time with us (and it'll show).

There's plenty more, but generally speaking we are very poorly represented. Maybe because we simply never had that many big name stars during the 80s and 90's. Ultimately though, the whole damn media is littered with Liverpool, United and Arsenal
