Can someone do the honours please?

I watched it in copper faced jacks in town with a few mates, had a great time got covered in beer and did a lap of pissed up honour all around the gaff at full time, headed into albert square and remember seeing a portly, `cuddly` city fan in the fountain going mental...
great day...

You know what I still had a fucking big daft grin all over me gob, watching those Sunderland fans doing the Poznan, after the Rags game.Quality.

Thats me with sunglasses on head we were losing then and Craig Harrison Paul Rawlinson and Stewart Stafford all from Glossop that was on Tv my kids still mention it now when dad was on telly sulking

Ha ha you used to sit directly in front of me at Maine Road and then for the first few years at The Etihad!
We were about 2 rows from the back of the top tier that day. Was absolutely baking up there. No chance of making it down for the pitch invasion but it was one hell of a day.

Really enjoyed that day .
I was in a pub in Bradford watching that match .
I was acting like a lunatic when City scored .
I have to say City were a bit lucky to go up that season .
I remember that game against Ipswich .
When Weaver played like the the best goalkeeper in the world .

On the day of the game I was meant to be playing a youth game in the morning, but it got delayed due to a cock-up with the pitch. By the time it got started it was about 30/45 mins before the City game kicked-off. My dad and brother had come to watch and we'd planned to shoot off over to my grandparents to watch the game, but now it looked like we might miss most of it.

I played the first half and just couldn't concentrate! At half time I poked my head into the club house and saw Jansen had just scored. I told my dad he just had to get me out of this game somehow. I thought about going down injured but then I'd have still had to have sat on the side for the rest of the game; plus, it was too obvious.

About 5 minutes into the second half the manager calls me for a sub. My dad had had a quiet word and convinced the manager (who was a bit of a tosser, the sort to take youth football way too seriously) to let me go watch the game. I didn't bother getting changed, we just shot off and managed to catch the rest of the game.

I was gutted we couldn't be there on the day, especially after the Gillingham experience, but seeing all the Blues doing the conga around the side of the pitch made me bloody proud!

Some of us got tickets others were on the hill which was packed just before the end we climbed over the turnstiles into there end behind the goal.
Trouble was we ended up on second tier so we went back out and back in to bottom tier straight onto pitch and bumped into other buxton blues on the pitch including meggo rip mate

No HD back in those days! There you go. No need to thank me, just throw money.

I was on lads weekend in Liverpool, got up in morning still pissed and just fucked off to Blackburn. No mobiles but other lads guessed I had gone there. If I remember correctly (could be beer got me muddled) but was in Fenhurst before hand and the manager wanted to charge city fans to watch the match (as I say could be mistaken). Anyway I left there bought some cans and watched it from the hill bore returning to mates in Liverpool that evening

Got back to Stalybridge after the game, a lot of city fans had been attacked by dirty scum rags out of spite, everyone of them are pieces of shit, the jealousy was oozing out of them ?

Im the only City fan in the world that wasn't at York away, but for me this was my all time favourite away game. I was in the Blackburn end which was pretty much just like being in the Darwen end anyway. Never seen a ground with so many away fans in it. Got battered in that first half and then it just went crazy. What a fantastic day.

Sorry mate, I wasn't at York either (because I was living down under at the time) but my favourite away day (after a lot of soul searching) was when Denis Law back heeled the winner at the swamp. That just pips the Championship win at Newcastle but only because it was the rags that we punished.
