Nice one pie-eaters

Congratulations to Wigan; you have showed that you wanted it more than us.

Well deserved.

Not takin owt away from Wigan, they were brilliant and thoroughly deserved to win. However, it was worryin how biz we were. How crap our best left back was made to look. How pump Yaya was. Aguero looked lost and i think he should have gone and not Tevez. Just a few examples. On an up note, we will invest big time in the summer. The future's lookin good. Well done Wigan.

I'd also like to heartily congratulate Wigan on a job well done. It was they who showed the desire needed to lift the Cup and fair play to them.

To all Wigan fans reading this - ENJOY YOUR TIME IN THE SUNSHINE. You certainly deserve it and count me amongst the many City faithful who lived long enough in the shadows to know what this means to you. Drain the pints, sing out the chants and hug your mates and families. THAT is what football is about, not the glory hunting and the money counting.

CHEERS, Wigan!

Well done Wigan.

I saw the 2nd Jan 1971 match at Maine Rd when we beat them 1-0.

Payback I suppose.

Yes I did as well and we struggled that day to, until the King scored

I was a boy then and expected at least 6 City goals.

The intervening 40 odd years have taught me to expect anything and everything from City, including today's result.

Since last night I had a bad feeling about today.

I have had a great week. I was offered a new Job; My Daughter Katy finished her Teacher Training Degree yesterday and her son - my Grandson George who is six and hasn't shown the slightest bit of interest in Football so far said" I want to go and watch City in the Final with Grandad". On top of all that we all shared in the joyful news of Taggert being sacked and replaced by no mark Moyes.

Somewhere along the line there had to be payback and it was to be us today.

My Daughters partner Ben is a lifelong Wigan supporter and he put this up on Facebook at Lunchtime.

"Today my little Tin pot no mark Football Club will make history as the first team to compete in every domestic final from the FA Vase to the FA Cup.

Living in the North west means that nearly everyone I know supports a more glamorous Club (and Bolton) for whom this sort of experience is the bare minimum for a "good" season, but perspective is a bit different from our end of the League Table. So win or lose - all the while accepting that "lose" is by far the most likely outcome, but convincing yourself to forget that for a few hours - today I will just be mostly proud to call myself a Wigan Athletic supporter."

Congratulations Ben, Congratulations to Roberto Mancini and the Wigan players.

I still love the FA Cup.

Well prepared, gave 110%, deserved it - worth my misery to see the look on Dave Whelans face at the end.
damn right, they deserved the win, they wanted it more

A team like Wigan giving it all they have got can beat any team not showing them respect.
We deserved that today, well some Wigan.
