Tomorrow morning.

Hi, it’s Txiki.

Erm…. a bit of humble pie.

How much do you want for him so we can sign him today.

This will get done. There is no way Porto rejects €50m only to sell him for €30m to Barca next summer when their buy back clause kicks in. It probably gets done at ~€55m
You’ve stated that no way Porto rejects 50 mill then in the next line stated it probably gets done at 55 mill.

I’ve had a few beers tonight but my brain is struggling to rationalise that one!

There was always going to be some haggling on the price. I don’t think Porto would reject €50m if they didn’t think we’d follow up with an improved offer. The alternative is to sell him for €30m in a few months

I’d like to think that if the club think “he’s the one” then given the current situation they will get the deal done.

If we have doubts then we continue to limp along with what we have.

Do we need to start a go fund me page?
I’ve no idea if this fella is the answer but I do know the ones we’ve already got aren’t.
Yep, getting some players off the pitch is as important as whatever new face we can get on it now. So stale, weak and slow some of them that it is literally impossible to downgrade for any kind of fee

No one has ever heard of this guy and yet the club seems to think it’s worth staffing £50m on him rather than giving O’Reily a chance.

Don’t understand the reluctance to give the EDS players a chance in the first team. He will go to Chelsea and do really well no doubt.

Id rather try O'Reilly at Left back

We are trying to get certain players off the pitch , it just takes them a while

Maybe ask pep the question all season we have needed some pace and determination. Youth players would bust their ass off trying to impress and we gone with the same slow past it old guard instead of trying some youth.

Is that not why we spend millions a year on coaches and recruitment?

I agree. 50m on a young unproven player. Why not just give Oreily a chance?

Pep’s sheer reluctance to play any academy players is bizarre
