It definitely helps that players are more protected but Ossie Ardiles, Arnold Muhren, Kazzy Denya were all technically gifted players who, from my understanding, prospered as did many from the 90s. Just don’t think nationality is a great barometer of if a player will be successful, more the players characteristics.

Didn't this guy win a world cup and get to the champions league final with Inter? He must be pretty good to do that. To get to one final might be a fluke...could have been carried by teammates but twice he must have something.

Edit...it was the Euro 2020 final he won with Italy.
He is married a few years so his personal life is settled. He scores 1 in four in the league. This guy seems to fit the bill. No reports of him betting either.
