Nicola Sturgeon

This is not something I have ever encountered.

The ignorance on this thread is staggering.
It’s easy for you to just put the SNP and the Indy movement down as being an anti english movement.

There are other folk that live in Scotland on this thread, and maybe they’ve encountered what you quote, but I have not.

An anti Westminster belief? Absolutely. You better believe it.

If you think that people talk about getting away from the English or England then you are sadly mistaken.

There is a huge belief within the indy movement of Westminster deciding what is best for scotland, and that is coming through on this thread.

‘Let the rest of the UK decide, and we’ll give them what they want’

It’s lazy and easy to say that the SNP -I am not a supporter- and the Indy movement is anti English. It’s also false.

I started off as an absolute 100% No Voter.

Then I listened to the arguments. You could do the same

You know where your argument dies?

When Corbyn is offering the socialist dream and investment Scotland wants and it still isn’t good enough.

It’s not about being anti Tory, it is an ideology of independence and separation from England at any cost and this is an extreme standpoint.

Your arrogance shines through again. Separation from ‘England’.

Going by this, I take it the Indy movement is a movement to get away from England but not the rest of the UK?

It seems that you are more pro ‘anti england’ than the Indy movement.

If you identify any Pro Indy materials that state they want Indy from England, please bring them to this thread.

I again will say the belief is anti westminster.

If Corbyn becomes PM, I’d bet the desire for Indy would dwindle significantly until of course he was finished and we were again subjected to tory policies.

Unfortunately, and I say this as an Indy fan, Corbyn is -I read somewhere- sitting at about an 10% chance of winning a minority.

Less than 1% for a majority.

Westminster is in England is it not?

If Scotland voted Labour as it used to. You’d get rid of the Tories for a generation but you won’t.

It just proves that even Labour going more left, offering Scotland £100bn in investment, it’s not enough.

It’s ideological.

Westminster is in England but it is the UK parliament which ‘represents’ all four nations of the UK.

It is anti westminster. Not anti England.

If Scotland returns a full SNP card then they can go into coalition with Labour, I am not sure that will happen and even if it it did that it would be enough.

Labour have blown it up here. They jumped into bed with the tories and lied to us with ‘the vow’ although I suspect that they had burnt their bridges before - someone will be able to verify that no doubt.

What vow?

They haven’t been in power. How can you possibly blame them?

I’ve never met an SNP voter that would vote no.
Not one.

I know loads of folk that have swayed toward the SNP after the indy vote.
None of them are no voters though.

I know plenty. Others here that have completely different social circles have said the same. I'm sure the snp will be aware what percentage of their voters are pro and anti independence as well, with surveys etc regularly attempted.

I know a lot that swayed to snp after indyref thinking that was it, some swayed back once the second push came, some didnt.

This election is about gaining the mandate for Indy 2. Nobody will vote for the SNP who don't back that. That's why it's so important. To think anyone who is against Indy will vote SNP, is as mental as me buying shares in The Rangers. This vote will show wether we have a democratic right to determine our own future. If we get 40 seats or more there is no way we can be refused unless we are now in a juanta situation. Let's wait and see how Scotland votes. Latest polls suggest Scottish Labour will win 1 seat. 1 seat in a country that hasn't voted for the Tories in nearly 70 years. That's how much Labour shat the bed up here. They are finished. Corbyn and Bawbag talking about what they will allow us to do, like a couple of colonial overlords has fucked so many people off. We expect that off Tories, but Corbyn once again misjudges our hatred of people trying to take the **** out of us. He will soon find out how that manifests itself.

A number of us have tried mate. I never thought I would end up defending Nicola on here, but I have a number of times. As a Scottish Unionist the attitude on here sometimes makes me very sad.
