Wrong. You trying to build a false case. I'm watching the same game. And he missed place one pass to Everton that caused a danger. Restarted 5 attacks. Intercepted 2 dangerous passes and stopped Lukaku 1 v 1.

The pass to Lukaku was a cutback, thus the ball was ahead of Lukaku, how you've concluded It's kept a guy behind the ball onside speaks more to the bias in your opinion.

Not to mention framing his passes " as one of Everton's best options" when in fact you are talking about 1 bad pass that became dangerous.

But when discussing his positives you are quite generic "mainly played well" - failing to point out he has restated 7 plays won 3 Airtel duels. 2 of the dangerous variety in which he was challenged, he has made 2 goalbound saving tackles. and 2 goalbound interception.

He hasn't "mainly played well" He is in fact the main reason we have only one shot against. The stats probably does not do him justice.

There were at least two passes actually.

And he played Lukaku onside whether you like it or not. Not the only mistake involved but a crucial one.

Edit, anyway we needn't worry because the defence only struggles in a back 3. Stats prove it.

Double edit: I think he's done ok today btw.
 
He's played very well at times today, but when you look at both goals, he's played Lukaku onside - and there's no reason why he should be deeper than the rest of the line, it's just lazy positioning -and for the second one, he's just nowhere.
 
He played like the only one who wanted to try anything bar Sagna. But it was still poor. That dive at the end, just fuck off.
 


Just not sure why he's doing here. He was very good apart from this and the first 2 goals where he could have done more.

Could probably put together a 10minute compilation of Gabriel Jesus doing shit like this..must be a South American footballer thing. It's embarrassing & I'll not defend him this time.

Go on then, post 1 clip of Jesus doing it, because I've not seen it, and Zabaleta, Caballero, fernando, Fernandinho and Aguero don't do it.
