Oh come on really!? We've won games despite him not because of him in the vast majority of occasions. How many times has he dived in, not got the ball and put the rest of the defence under pressure. He's irrational by nature. Stones doesn't look much better at the minute but we can't expect to win the CL with him at the helm... Their front 3 had the beating of him every time.

If Argentina having a bad international break has affected his form this much, god forbid what kind of form he might be after the world cup. It might be like Fernandinho in 2014 needing 6 months to get over Brazil's exit.

Since March 23 he has played 6 full games. Including the confidence breaking 6-1 loss to Spain.

Has virtually played every game this season for club and country so I would say that’s the cause of the his recent terrible form.

Can he sit on the bench for the rest of the season? Play Laporte, yesterday was embarrassing

His rolling around last night was shocking. I thought we'd got rid of that nonsense.

Weirdly I was thinking similar before. His form has absolutely nosedived which is a huge concern. Definitely think it’s time to keep playing Laporte and Stones and seeing what type of partnership they can create.
