Discoteque Royale? Can't remember the name of the place and this would probably be shortly before the Hacienda closed its doors but there was a place that appeared to be a converted ballroom. It was somewhere in Manchester IIRC. At nights end they played the theme to "The dambusters" and everyone ran around the edge of the dance floor then had a massive pile on.
Anyone know what the bejasus I am on about?
It was. Bouncy, sticky floor. Started off playing metal and hardcore/punk then segued into hip hop and dance music later onThe Ritz sounds about right although tbf it was a while ago and memories can be sketchy. :-)
