(14/12/2011)-News on new Portugese Player

Marcos Paulo MesquitaLopes, known in the soccer world by Ronny, was recently confirmed at Manchester City

This is a player we have known about for some time, he even appeared for City in a tournament in the Ukraine, but we have not mentioned anything until it came to the general publics attention
Hyped as the next big thing to come out in Portuguese Football, Man City snapped up Marcos Lopes, most known as Ronny, a Portuguese 15 year old, left footed, attacking midfielder of Benfica's youth team.

As he wasn't 16 (the legal age to sign contracts) Man City stole him and only had to pay the formation rights -> around 1M and his family also got a house as exchange for moving to Manchester

The young athlete has even had the opportunity to bid farewell to his companions, who certainly mourn the departure of this talented player with great creativity that it is preferably in the center of the ground, and may the power of your left foot act as a skilled interior left or droping
on the same ward as a technicist far left that offers fantasy football of his
team.

Under-16 National Team by, Ron no longer bear the status of one of the greatest
talents in existing Campus Box Football Academy to join the Manchester City,

Perhaps a small fee for the millionaire English club, the amount paid by Manchester City Benfica struck by the fact that it involved a player from such a young age, having at the 15 year old 'sky blues' invested an amount close to a million euros ,an amount agreed between the two players for a player who, remember, had just signed a contract for training for its youth, hoping thereby to the British have made an excellent acquisition for the future.

Our 18 years and younger lads are literally stacked with talent. 5 years from now will be very exciting times.

I asked a mate who is Israeli what he thought about Biton. He wasn't sure because he's been living in the UK for years so he asked some of his mates in Israel. The consensus seemed to be that he is a good player but is not special.

the fact that these young players seemingly cant wait to sign for our club makes the future look increasingly bright. the world knows what the future holds for manchester city....

would anyone (who has seen Biton) classify this move as an attempt to find Yaya's eventual understudy/replacement? or does he project to be a different sort?

Ok, some updates about the deal from the israeli press...
Last night biton's agent met at the city club with some of the administration staff. At the end of the meeting Brian Marwood mentioned to biton's agent that they are very much instersted of signing biton. thay said he was quite impressive (apparently showed his attacking abbilities by scoring some impressive goals...). An official offer was given to the player's agent and to F.C Ashdod, Ashdod's chairman Jackie ben zaken confirmed such offer was indeed received and it includes a loan till the end of the season with the option to buy when the season ends. biton will go to city's main squad, not the reserves... his agent already started negotiations a week ago and it shouldn't encounter any issues, in the slim case that such issue happen another option of just purchasing biton by the end of the season is still available (his service will be over).

cheers!

Pretty sure he needs to get a work permit too, no? And that could be a problem as he hasn't been capped too many times.
