I was well up for it until the first goal, shouting and balling....not a peep after that. Probably cos I had fuck all to shout about tbh. They were just better.

Something is very wrong. I just didn't get any buzz out of a derby game today. I don't think that's ever happened before.
Not only that, I've got the feeling we didn't expect draw or win.

Be interesting to hear what the guys who went have to say. It's always difficult to tell when you're not at the game, but it sounded pretty quiet in the ground.

I started a thread about the same feeling this morning.
No desire, no passion, no in their faces, no gameplan after they scored, not a derby performance from us and they could have stepped it up a gear anytime they wanted. Hughes has now managed two derby's and we've failed to look like scoring in either and our performances have been dire in both. Now this isn't a Hughes out rant because I made my feelings known the day he walked into our club and it hasn't changed once since then, but we need a manager that can stand up to the added pressure of these bastards on our doorstep. Big Mal had it the moment he came here and Sven got under Fergursons skin without even having to try, they just both had that knack. I dont want Sven back but I do want a manager that is big enough to handle this club, its all well and good beating WBA, Blackburn and an uninterested wembley bound Everton but today was altogether different. I didn't expect us to wipe the floor with them because at the end of the day they are a quality side but what disappointed me was our own attitude and performance in defeat.
We're miles away from genuine success both on and off the pitch.
