I think its the papers upto their usual trick...yet again! They will play and rinse this story for all its worth until the whole situation is resolved.
I dont believe for one minute the players "never heard Tevez's refusal", you could tell from watching the game the players and manager was not happy.
Can you imagine if Tevez was telling the truth, Mancini is gonna look a right di** and the fans will most likely to want him to resign etc.. so i don't think for one minute he will be coming out with what he said if there was no truth behind it.

Forza Mancini!! CTID!!

Carlos Tevez claimed he was not feeling mentally right to enter the pitch for Manchester City after refusing to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich.

“I just was not feeling very good mentally to enter the pitch so I put my opinion to Mancini,” he said through an interpreter having been asked about what took place in the dugout.

It is not surprising that the subs " didnt see anything".
Tevez admitted live on TV after the game that he'd told Roberto he wasn't going on the pitch (leaving aside he was making his excuses). Guilty as charged.

I didnt say he wasnt guilty. If most people were pulled into the management of their company in a kangaroo court, they woulndnt grass on their colleagues. Whether out of a sense of duty to their mates or just not wanting to get involved. Probably the latter as that is what their advisors will be telling each and every one of them.

Yes, and you could have made that point in the other thread instead of clogging up the board.

Re: An own goal by the club.

What's an own goal? I highly doubt that the players went to the papers and said they didn't hear or see anything before the review by the club, or that they would stick up for him at all. And Zab's reaction says it all for me, if given the chance he'll call Tevez out no problem imo
