No goodbyes for Robinho?

I wish him all the best and think he did a great thing for us by coming here and having an excellent first season.

I hope he does well for Milan and will look forward to seeing some of their games on ESPN. Shame things didn't work out with us and he obviously decided he didn't want to play for the club or in the premier leauge and there was no way back after that. He had a good first season for us on the whole and put in some excellent performances but like most of our other players suffered away from home due to a number of reasons, none more so than the lack of ability in defensive areas to keep possession or win it back, however he also needed to take responsibility for his poor performances and as he's not a give 100% all the time like a Tevez and Bellamy if he's having a poor game he'll look like he's not bothered. Last season he started 6 leauge games, 4 after being injured for a couple of months and while he didn't perform well in most of those for people to write him off as a failure after 6 games of a new season i find very strange but he chose not to stay and fight for his place and that was the end of it

I wish him well, the same way i wish Ireland and Bellamy well. They might have said a few things that maybe they shouldn't have in hindsight but i appreciate that at times they played well for the club and hope they all do well at their new clubs

Dont be a tit!
Those comments are far too sensible for this forum. I demand you revert to idiocy right away!

This news must be upsetting to the many on here who insisted that he was still happy here , and wanted to give it another go , of which i certainly wasn't one of ........... for me Robinho made his feelings pretty clear to everyone , even during Hughes reign ...... although there were plenty on here who still couldn't see the wood for the trees , or refused to believe .......

Robinhos mind hasn't been here for a long time , if indeed it ever really was.

He's kidding himself if he thinks he's ever gonna be the worlds greatest player , because people will always ask why he couldn't really truly inspire a club , with good players , like Manchester City?

A truly great player would have been able to , in the way that Eric Cantona did at Leeds!

He's probably always gonna be remembered , by the majority of english football fans , as a 'flop' , whether unjustly or not ........ and you wouldn't bet against Milan fans thinkin' exactly the same of him in years to come.

agreed

One half decent season isn't good enough though , is it ?

.....at a cost of £32 million!

Of course not but he didn't pay the £32 million did he? He had a good season and then decided that he wasn't interested in trying to get his place back and wanted to move, of course it's not ideal for us as a club but thats his choice and while i didn't feel it was the right choice it was something he obviously wanted and he's never really slagged the club off as some people would have us believe

-- Tue Aug 31, 2010 1:14 pm --

Just wondering. Has anyone told Robbie that it gets bloody cold in the winter in Milan???

You know i like the sun and all that

He played for Madrid which gets cold in the winter and performed so i don't think it'll be that much of an issue really
