One good season isn't good enough though , is it ?

.....at a cost of £32 million!

Of course not but he didn't pay the £32 million did he? He had a good season and then decided that he wasn't interested in trying to get his place back and wanted to move, of course it's not ideal for us as a club but thats his choice and while i didn't feel it was the right choice it was something he obviously wanted and he's never really slagged the club off as some people would have us believe

Just wondering. Has anyone told Robbie that it gets bloody cold in the winter in Milan???

You know i like the sun and all that

He played for Madrid which gets cold in the winter and performed so i don't think it'll be that much of an issue really

No he never really performed at Real Madrid either thats why they werent so fussed about getting rid of him. With them just like with us he would produce moents or entire games of magical sheer brilliance and footballing skill but too often and almost 90% of the time he wandered around while the game passed him by

To b honest i don't think he knows what he wants ......

it's only two months back that that he said he was back in his spiritual home of Santos ... reckoned he didn't want to leave , said he loved it , and that people loved him .......... that all seems to have taken a backseat now.

So now he's going to a country where he's gonna get kicked even more than he did in England .... of course he'll pledge that Milan were always his first choice , even though most italian or Spanish top flight clubs would probably have done .......... we'll see how long this latest love affair lasts ?

In his last season at Madrid when they won La Liga (Last time they won it) he started 28 leauge games, scoring 11 goals and ended up with 14 assists. Is that not performing? He was one of their better players in his last season with Madrid and they didn't get rid of him because of his footballing ability. They wanted Ronaldo and were willing to sell Robinho to fund the move for Ronaldo, when Robinho found out he didn't like it and there was no going back, he even held his own press conference to say he wanted to go to Chelsea and thats the main reason why he left.

Wait for the first newspaper article that lays the blame for his EPL demise firmly and squarely at MCFC's door. "Had Robinho gone to The Arse, MANUre, CFC their managers would have recognised the talent they had and he would have slipped seamlessy into the team." Bollox, Henry!

Robinho, goodbye and (a begrudging) good-luck.

Oh, and if, like I asked you on Boxing Day during your fantastic display against Stoke, you need a lift to the airport, then drop me a line.

Bom libertação.

In truth Robinho was never really good enough , and never really consistent enough ......

Chelsea lost interest , once Scholari cleared off , and i don't think any of the other title contenders ever really bothered about him ...... that tells its own story.

I hope he does well for Milan and will look forward to seeing some of their games on ESPN. Shame things didn't work out with us and he obviously decided he didn't want to play for the club or in the premier leauge and there was no way back after that. He had a good first season for us on the whole and put in some excellent performances but like most of our other players suffered away from home due to a number of reasons, none more so than the lack of ability in defensive areas to keep possession or win it back, however he also needed to take responsibility for his poor performances and as he's not a give 100% all the time like a Tevez and Bellamy if he's having a poor game he'll look like he's not bothered. Last season he started 6 leauge games, 4 after being injured for a couple of months and while he didn't perform well in most of those for people to write him off as a failure after 6 games of a new season i find very strange but he chose not to stay and fight for his place and that was the end of it

I wish him well, the same way i wish Ireland and Bellamy well. They might have said a few things that maybe they shouldn't have in hindsight but i appreciate that at times they played well for the club and hope they all do well at their new clubs

Ditto.

Disappointed, to be honest.
