There are so many things that City fans do differently, Poznan, Bananas, self-deprication, loyalty etc

But the red Dippers went tonto with some decisions being made at their club and mobilised in a way that City fans dont seem able.

The Poznan as an example is a bit misplaced, as much as I enjoy it, seeing as it's taken from and even named after another club. As for Liverpool, I wouldn't want to copy anything they do. As a city, Manchester has never looked to Liverpool for good examples, at least not in my time.

I think we showed our discontent just fine against Swales and Lee. A shirt badge doesn't even compare to those troubles, or to the troubles Liverpool had recently.
Exactly, but any opportunity for a dig recently with some posters.

Just had a look at this petition and it's pretty obvious at first glance it's a complete joke and wouldn't be taken seriously by anyone with any brains. Most of the comments are from wind up merchants.

I'd suggest you try something else, and good luck to you - I'm not that bothered myself, but if the majority of blues care about the issue it should be heard. This petition though has turned farcical and has very little persuasive power.

Epitomises how laughable it is as I am number 608 and I haven't signed it, someone put my username around 520 as well and that wasn't me-as I have already said, laughable, hijacked by wallys and in no way credible enough to be taken seriously.

I think you are 604 also.

Btw for someone so against it, you're spending a lot of time signing it.

Just out of them, four are clearly wind ups.

There is some kind of beautiful irony of the United fans signing it.

I'm gonna say it (tin hat time), I know a lot of United fans who quite frankly are alright (go to games, good banter etc). However;

There is also a good percentage that are bell ends and do not have the intelligence or passion to be a real football fans (this applies to every club - City included). They simply use football, and in particular United, to express anger, aggression and morbid views which if displayed in any other context would leave them friendless, unemployed and likely in jail.

Half of those wearing 'Newton Heath' shirts don't even know where the place is. City as a club has always tried to promote its tradition to the point younger fans are aware of the C o A crest. Lets keep it up.

As lines 604, 8 and 9 have been voided, perhaps the person voiding them can also remove the other non City comments-I appreciate this will take a while as there are so many-and then do a recount to gauge proper opinion, which is more likely to be around 450 at best once the nonsense is removed-around 1% of our home crowd on a sellout, which clearly isn't exactly the 'thousands' who were saying they would buy the shirt is it?!?!

-- Sat Apr 23, 2011 1:06 pm --

Sounds more like you're trying to convince yourself not us!

I'd rather we looked to the future rather than persist with such nostalgic suggestions as these. If we want to become one of the world's biggest and best we can't go around changing our crest for every final we get to, I don't care what the occasion is, we need to start acting like a big club before we will be recognised as a big club.

I see neither beauty nor irony, just a bunch of people with nothing better to do or moan about.

As for all that crap about United fans, kind of irrelevant to the issue you're peddling. I know, and am related to, enough United fans myself and can form my own narrow minded opinions thanks.
