No More Champions League For Me

Premier League games these days are packed with tourists, have shite refs, a fair amount of 'nothing' games, heavy handed stewards, is often quite expensive, and sees dozens of tickets being given to viagogo and sold for over the odds too

I have to largely agree, the CL is the current ultimate of corporate football.

I'll still go, just because it's City, but I agree with a lot of your points and much prefer FA Cup games to Champions League games. That said, Munich was my first European away trip and I fookin' loved it!

Most of the points also could be directed at the PL.

Not overly keen on CL myself, much prefer the domestic game.

Walking back to the Met station from the South Stand last night I spotted a large marquee on the car park with the wording "Champions Club" and two smartly dressed doormen ensuring the plebs did not get in. As stated previously the whole thing is one big rip off done for the benefit of the elite few.

And don't get me started on the officials, they were appalling!

The Champions League is the epitome of everything that is wrong with modern football.....all about the money and fuck the fans....but you can't blame the clubs for wanting to be involved

Yep. +1
Champions League is flawed in my opinion (mostly because it's helped to create such a large gap between the 'haves' and the 'have nots') but I'm still going to enjoy it while we're there.

The only thing I like about it is seeing how different teams play. Watching the likes of Stoke and Palace doesn't excite me at all so it makes a change to see technically gifted players.

I may pick and choose next year though rather than join the cup scheme.
