Whilst I share the OPs concerns about UEFA and their motives, my biggest gripe regarding the CL is the refereeing. Some of the decisions we have had just beggar belief.
I for one prefer the Premier League over the CL any day of the week.

You are very wrong. Not missed a home cl game for the past 2 seasons. This being our 3rd year I have decided to give it a miss.
Nowt to do with cost,nowt to do with work,nowt to do with her indoors. She wants me to go...
It is simply the shite atmospheres,fucking half and half scarf wearing idiots who just fuck around all game taking photographs and moan if you swear once,and fucking wank corrupt referees who will make sure city wont get anything. Be tv for me this year the CL.

I mean ffs, there are that many restrictions to limit the draw it is completely pointless.

If City are in it I want to see it and for us to win it.
But yes, the CL really tends to be a crap bore as far as actual football matches go. Crap foul. Free kick. Crap foul. Free kick. Etc etc etc
I watched a decent match from the Championship as a neutral last year right around one of our Barca farces and I swear it was much more enjoyable to watch.
