No More In This Transfer Window

As I keep reminding everyone, we need a proven striker to supplement Balotelli and Dzeko.

RSC, EA and Jo need to be moved on this window. A quality replacement is of paramount importance.

I disagree mate - I think, with Tevez, Dzeko and Balotelli, that we have plenty up front to see us through extremely nicely. I can't think of any other team in the League that has a better or more potent strikeforce than those three.

Once we get beyond those three, and Mancini's apparent blind-spot over Jo, I'd much rather see us looking towards giving our youngsters, such as Guidetti, Ball and Nimley, an opportunity to show what they can do. If we bring someone else in, these kids are never going to get a chance.

Errrrrr...... R your eyes painted on there seems to be a little Argentinian chappie plays as striker for their national team n I think he leads City out as Captain..... Carlos somethin I think he's called a striker that manages to find the net now n again!!!!!!!!!

Some reports saying SWP close to moving to Fulham on loan but the stumbling block is his 60k/week wages, as they will pay him no more than 45k/week.

Then fook em, let him stay here, i am sick of us being a fecking charirty to all and sundry!

Cheeky bar stewards !!

Some would say we're being a charity to SWP at £60k per week for doing next to sod all! Might as well have that reduced to £15k by someone else who thinks he's good enough......

According to the independent newspaper article Roberto says we have finished our transfers in for this window.

Mancini quote:
"We buy him now (Dzecko). Will there be any more signings [in January]? I don't think so."

I feel that we will bring one more player in, a defender, though I wish it was 2 (another striker as well).

Bobby's clearly full of shit! Tolmie told us that we were negotiating for someone else (probably Kaka, if we're to logically follow the 'Jesus, this time it's for Real' clues). So don't give up hope guys!

Unless (and this is so ridiculous, I can't believe I'm even writing this) he was making stuff up, and now he's done a runner before anyone can pull him up on it.

Ball?

Is this the same Ball that couldn't get a game at Swindon?

Who has just returned to us because Swindon didn't think he was good enough?

Yeah, I see what you mean about him being a good option to cover for Tevez, Balotelli and Dzeko..!

Good one ST.

Hungry like the wolf :O)

Yeah, but it's been a while, and I couldn't help myself ;)

You've got to admit though, that was an awful lot of bluster with no end product. And now, as I say, he's done a rather convenient runner.

That's a fair point mate - however let me have a pop at defending myself.

I'd probably give Guidetti, then Nimley, then Ball a game in that order - and I did say these lads would follow Tevez, Dzeko, Balotelli and Jo in the pecking order - which essentially makes Ball our 7th choice striker. Which essentially means he'll never get a game.

The point I was trying to make is that we can't just keep on buying more strikers, otherwise we'll never bring anyone through the ranks. The Club are spending a lot of money on completely overhauling the academy so it can begin to produce players for the first team.

We'll never attract young prospects if they can't see any route through to the first team. I mean - we're struggling to get Guidetti (who is very well thought of) to sign an extension to his current deal for exactly those reasons.

But yeah - I take your point - the Swindon deal doesn't seem to have shown Ball in the best light, does it
