No PL Penalty In 2 Years Away From Home

That's because our team doesn't attack that often and they even themselves out during the season......:)

We should however all be congratulating united for their first win in a decade without the aid of a penalty or red card, well done Sir Alex and all who attend the Theatre of dreams.

Didn't the scum go years without having a penalty given against them at old scaffold?

Last season we were one of 4 clubs to not get a penalty going in our favour away from home, yet we got the same number of penalties for us at home as United got in their favour at home. United only got 2 away from home, which was one of the lowest in the league.
In the 2010/2011 season we actually got 4 more penalties overall more than United, (9 for us, 5 for them), did during that season.

What's the problem?
Look; you can't go quoting stats like that. It doesn't fit in with the ''agenda''™.

How many of them were game changing penalties?

Who cares? A penalty is a penalty and those stats above are just from 2 seasons.

Those that still try and claim that refs treat us no differently are living in cloud fucking cuckoo land as far as im concerned.

Twattenburg did his very worst again yesterday but unfortunately for him and his paymasters, the cream rose to the top and we gave them all a big fat fuck you!

His first half performance was a complete joke yesterday and the cnut must have wasted 10 minutes with his constant, "look at me" stoppages!

Just glad it wasn't Micah that played volleyball at the edge of his box as we would without a doubt be talking about a very different outcome right now.

Good job some of us view the game with slightly more objectivity than you then. His performance yesterday was reasonable. The sending off was correct, it wasn't a penalty for handball being outside the box and a yellow for deliberate handball was correct. Yes, he loves the spotlight but in terms of making decisions he didn't make many errors yesterday. He showed no bias to either team so your conspiracy theories will have to wait a while longer.

You don't think it odd to receive 15 pens on the bounce at home?

For me it shows that refs are swayed by crowds to a huge degree.

Or a fear of certain managers and the influence they and the clubs they represent can have on a career......

How long was that spread over though? Any stats can be plucked out of the air however the OP in his mis-leading thread title suggests that no penalty has been given to us away from home for 2 years. I went back 2 years and plucked stats to show that whilst that stat is correct, there are also other stats which show that we had a large number of penalties awarded at home, and of course that we weren't the only club to not have an away penalty last season. For the record we got 1 penalty away from home in the 2010/11 season, so it's not even as if it's 2 full seasons without having had one awarded.

-- Sun Oct 21, 2012 8:44 am --

Despite United only having 5 penalties in 2010/11 as opposed to our 9? So I guess you're referring to Mancini there then?

That's because they need to commit GBH to give away a pen at the swamp. A mere assault, let alone a blatant cynical foul is not enough.
