Nobody giving Sunderland credit??

This is why I said shit fans etc. Only joined after their victory. Yes I am gutted because we lost but fair play to them. Just pisses me off that they come on the forum simply to gloat. BTW was the ground full today? NO SEE SHIT FANS.

You're a moron mate. Sunday afternoon, a match many thought Man City would boss. The turnout wasn't great but its a hell of a lot better than most Prem teams. 6th best average last season for attendance, not far off your lot. Bearing in mind we struggle alot and yous have fancy new signings on display all the time, its hardly a huge disappointment.

Look back to before your arab man came in, your average attendance was worse in 07/08 than ours. So that says it all. Success brings the crowds, as does fancy new names.

I do like Man City and think a lot of you speak good sense and seems to be a fair bit of sportsmanship and realism on this board after the game today. But this guy is an idiot.

I commend you for that post mate, cheers, nice to see that the true spirit of the game is still out there.

IMO your attitude is all wrong, you say none of our players would make your bench, yet collectively our players outplayed yours today for key parts of the game. It seems to me that you're under the impression that because your squad is worth an arm and a leg then they should automatically be perceived as an outstanding team, yet this couldn't be further from the truth, just ask fans of n**castle united if you dont believe me. All of your expensive players must bond as a team and prove themselves, just as any team has to do, and as of yet I dont believe we've seen that from yourselves since the dawn of your new era under the billionaire sheik.

Was COMS full on monday or thursday? no, so ffs shut up. If people like you are this arrogant when we've lost, then I don't blame them for not coming on if we win because imagine how arrogant you would be then. In fact it's users like you who make me feel that it wouldn't be surprising if no people from other clubs come on here for a chat, because your attitude absolutely stinks.

As someone who watched this game at 2 am to 3.45 am I may have been wanting in my critical faculties if posting straight after the match.

I found it an entertaining and good match with the 'Typical City' theme coming through at the 16th and 90th + minutes. I would not have it any other way. I rejoice at the 'New Improved $$$ City' bit I like reality checks, even if it comes at Sunderland away. City will have sterner tests in the future and will prevail because of matches like this one. Top 4 for sure but not without heart palpitations on the way.

I'm sorry but Sunderland were poor yesterday, regardless of their record last season. They hardly had any attacking threat and pretty much relied on aimless balls over the top. The game was there to be dominated by City and we could really have put them on the back foot but we were too scared to attack.

Would just like to say where has all this arrogance all of a sudden come from? One City fan shouted at me after the game "thats your biggest game of the season over with then". What a fucking clown, it wasn't even a big enough game to draw the usual 10,000 fair weather Sunderland fans out who only come to the ground for derby games or when we play the likes of United.

There was also coin throwing after the game from your lot, lost alot of respect for you because of that, I used to like City but your fans have lost touch with reality and become arrogant wankers overnight, you haven't got anything to get arrogant about really, just a pretty average football club with money.

Was our ground full on Thursday? Didn't think so. Was our ground full under Sven? No. Pearce? No.

Sunderland were shit and should have been beaten easily. If Tevez would have put that chance away it could have been 3 or 4. It was down to our mistakes that we got beat not down to any brilliance from Sunderland.

hit the nail on the head.

if tevez would of scored, we would of got on to score another 2 or 3, counter attack aswell including.

Fair play to Sunderland. We couldn't handle their work rate and desire in the second half. We got away with only creating 3 or 4 chances against Liverpool as we converted 3 of them. Yesterday we only created 3 or 4 chances again and we didn't get away with it as we didn't convert any of them.

Chelsea and United create double figures of chances every game, sometimes on a good day they can have 20 opportunities to score. We aren't doing that!

Sunderland saw that in the first half we created 2 chances and didn't score and it totally livened them up and made them think they had a chance. Because if our lack of creativity we did give them a chance.

Possession has improved so far this season, but 20 passes without creating a shooting opportunity isn't what we want. I'd like to see either a second striker, hopefully Balotelli, or Silva in midfield given a starting chance against Blackburn in a few weeks to increase our creativity in games.

I haven't JUST joined, I joined last season after a defeat to congratulate you so I'm not here to gloat. I thought had Tevez put that chance away in the first half, it could have got a bit messy as the last ten minutes of the first half we were really hanging on. Credit has to be given, we held on and came out in the 2nd half and had a bit of a go at you. I'd have quite happily settled for a point. The last ten minutes I think we deserved a break and luckily we got one after Richards(who looks suspect to me) pulled Bent down.

City will not lose many games this season but I'm glad you lost that one as 3 points is a massive boost for us. All the best for the rest of the season and we'll see you at the COMS.
