Noel Gallagher

Noel is minted to the tune of several tens of millions; and he's never hidden the fact that the amount of £ he's made and continues to make has been a source of immense satisfaction to him. He was in Chile when we won the league in 2012. He could have hired a private jet to take him to the game and back again; he could have postponed the gigs either side of the match. He didn't. He stayed in South America and watched it on TV. Top Blue.

Personally I’m not a huge fan of eithers solo stuff, especially Liam’s. I stopped listening to nursery rhymes many, many years ago.

However, Noel’s latest album is pretty decent in my opinion. Me and the wife are considering a bit of a break in Naples this summer and he’s playing there in June in think.

I love that he rubs our success in their noses and the op’s experience will be something him and his pals will remember for ever so fair play to Noel.

Oasis are a tad overrated though but they still feature heavily on my personal playlist because I was really into them as a teenager still at school and into my young manhood.

They’ve got a fair few anthemic hits that’ll sell a stadium or two out for the rest of their careers that’s for sure.

I prefer doves, elbow, new order, James and morrissey to name a few from the area but they’re still good.

One of the best ever was seeing Oasis at Knebworth in my City shirt. When they played Round Are Way, there was a backdrop video on screen of all the back alleys surrounding Maine Road leading to the promised land. I shit you not...I had tears in my eyes.

Ps. If anyone knows where you can get a copy of the video, would love to see it again.

I do remember some less favourable Gallacher quotes about City when we shite. Though I am not sure which one as I cannot tell them apart. You can't doubt their loyalty since we became successful though.

Liam rarely speaks about football but has remained a true blue. Noel has as well really. The negative comments I remember were inregards to his kids, where he said he hoped they would end up Arsenal fans as there was no way he would allow them to be rags. He said something along the lines of it not being fair him forcing them to be blues as they were from London and he did not want them to have to put up with the shit we had to.
Noel is just a rent a gob but they are both true blues.
Even though we were shit, in a way Oasis made it cool to be a blue. They got us column inches and helped keep us relevant, when really we did not deserve it.
From reading up, it seems Guiggsy was actually the biggest blue out of all of them.

The full concert is on youtube. I went to the Saturday with the Prodigy and Chemical brothers. Was a top day.
I remember all the southerners saying "who?" When John Squire can on for Cast no Shadow. Think they dedicated that song to Rob Collins out of the Charlatans, who had died not long before the gigs.

Lovely lads, lovely families.

Particularly the recent comparisons

Listen, I have enjoyed their music as much as anyone. I guess , it is them as toe rags that I dislike. The recent comparison to Mary and Fred West by one sibling to the other is an example.

I cannot find any quotes to back up what I have said.Doesn't mean i wont though. They were in the dark days. I dont doubt they are big blues.
Anyway, I am hypocritical as i will be singing along with everyone after the derby match, i hope.

I was there the same day. You're right about Cast No Shadow and Rob Collins, but pretty sure it was Champagne Supernova that Squire came on for.

Finances, job, kids
Sorry you must be the ultimate blue?
My arse you are...
Night...

he's not worth it pal the guys an absolute moron. All he does is slag city fans off. the way he carries on I doubt he even goes to games himself. get a private jet from south America to watch 90 min of football hahaha. I guess noel, liam, the lads from blossoms should wait for the fixtures to be announced in future before organising world tours just in case we have a chance of winning the league
