The back pages say Chelsea could be signing Cavani for £35million but his £150,000/week wage demands are holding up the deal. Dear god, if they sign him after the others we really have a fight on our hands don't we, if they all gel quick enough anyway.

This would be the one signing that genuinely improves them. If they sign either Cavani or Falcao then they'll be back to title-contenders no problem. I hope they sign Hulk for £30+million and no one else. They've just blown £25million on Oscar, who I've never even heard of, never mind seen play, before, so if they only sign Hazard, Oscar and Hulk this window then i'd be confident of us finishing above them quite comfortably next season. But if they pull off signing Cavani/Falcao/Van persie to replace Torres then they're well in with a shout for the title.
