North Stand Construction Discussion

Thanks SS Skies. The roof looks better with every passing day.

I think Youtube hype is only available on Android devices? I will try and view the video through my mobile to see if I see the hype option. I didn't see it when viewing on my laptop.
Thanks Marvin appreciate that mate. Cheers

Got a request.

The next time the drones are up, could one of you zoom in on the light bulbs on top of the masts, that haven't worked for years. I just want to see what the bulbs look like.

Thanks.
I'll search through my Xmas bulb collection see if I can help out

Side note if not mistaken the instillation cable was issue

Are we still continue to have a skywalk on the new roof because I would’ve thought that would’ve been installed or partly installed while they had the huge cranes and as it looks at the moment it doesn’t look like it is going to be included. Does anyone know any different?
The cranes you mention cost a fortune to hire, so they are not going to have them sat there doing nothing. They will hire a mobile crane when they want to do a lift.

Early video today. Have a good weekend everyone.

thanks for doing the under the roof view of the sky walk - it starts right at the back at opposite end to the TV Studios and then meanders under the roof towards the front left corner - somehow it gets up on to the top where the walkway markers are now seen on the roof headed to the front centre

You can see where they are going to attach handrails to it aswell. It will be a nervy walk for some but rewarding at the top once people have done it.

The lack of symmetry is playing havoc on my OCD

It’s ugly from the outside.

Has an uneven look to it: one of the juts is wider and taller than the other, with the other then having a hotel stuck out at an odd tangent which makes the walk from the Met stop a bit of a detour (not great for the less able).

No idea why the hotel had to be stuck onto the stadium. There’s loads of room on site to have built a hotel which left the stadium as a stand-alone centrepiece of the site. It doesn’t even look like a football stadium when you’re stood at ground level on that picture.

The big new tier is going to look really nice on the inside when it’s done though.

It’s flipped from when the shape of the stadium was architecturally nice when we first moved in in 2003 up to 2015,

…but I always felt both ends looked unfinished inside the stadium back then.

The inside of the stadium will be decent and more complete now but we’ve really sacrificed on the architectural quality of the stadium on the outside.
