North Stand Construction Discussion

I think these two pics from the away end vs Spurs do a great job of showing how big the tier is actually going to be. The shots lower down don’t quite capture it.

It also shows just how much more wholesome & complete it looks as a structure without the patched up corners - as with the south stand where the final appearance is a bit more flaky.

I'm not sure about this, goes against our owners beliefs.
Having said that I hear betting laws in Abu dahbi are being relaxed.
Just a note on the old gas storage site, the original plans had a windmill to generate more power for the site and I think got rejected.
The power is going to have to come from somewhere, hence all the solar panels but would that be enough, gonna be a huge burden on the national grid.
Drill baby drill.
Yes. Beliefs don't appear to be hindering the Wynn Al Marjan Island resort being built (including 2 casinos).

Current crowds approach 52,600. If you had 7,910 seats that gets us up to 60,510. The only way we get 62k is if there are some seats at the back of the North Stand that are currently out of commission due to the works.
Gross capacity upon completion will be 61,958 not including the suites (Hotel rooms) in the North Stand

The approved stand will aee the stadium have just shy of 62k, by like 50 seats or something. For all intents and purposes, fair to call it a 62k stadium.

Etihad Stadium Expansion 2nd October 2025 - Manchester City FC - a look from the ground #dji360

Fantastic video @cpoverview, from ground level it shows just how 'massive' the build is, just one question, when I watched it I had the video set at 2160p604k but the quality didn't look great, is your handheld camera not as good as your drone for picture quality?

I used my iPad for editing it which I have since found out uploads it in a lower resolution. Lesson learnt (use my laptop)
