North Stand Construction Discussion

Hi JRB. I’m hoping to be there but I’m not sure I can make it yet. I’ve registered a place though. No mention of an NDA but I don’t know if anything confidential is going to be discussed. I doubt there will be anything new on what’s been discussed in City Matters

Guessing.

There might be some new and updated information about the stand the club and Danny Wilson want to share with the OSC Exec members via a presentation? The Q&A will follow. I doubt it will be straight into the Q&A and that’s it. It’s always good to do an update presentation first, with the Q&A after that.

Anything I can share I will do.

I hope the expanded North Stand is a big success. I love seeing all the progress on the building developments. I also love the bravery of the Club in taking this on in the face of a legal work tornado. I just hope the City takes a step back on the 5 rows of expensive tickets and encourages the loud and proud stand, almost all of us wish to see.

I’m still on a yellow card for divulging the flexi- gold initiative. In fairness, they accepted I didn’t know it was in confidence information (that I overheard in a pub).

Regardless of how the meeting pans out, enjoy it. :-)

Surely it should have been Rodri or Haaland, or has the club not commitioned it ? Maybe Liam did himself ? Someone ask him on twitter

I did think it might not have anything to do with the club, to be honest. It absolutely had to be Rodri but no.

The horrible shirt, the endless songs in the ground, etc, the club seem to presume we are all fans of Oasis though.

At this rate, they’ll name the new North Stand after them. You heard it here first!

This, it's getting abit tiresome. It's almost becoming a stereotype now

It’s all to do with exposure. Oasis and City around the UK, America, and the World. City are going to make the most of it. Oasis will just bank even more money, including from City.

United had something similar with Mick Hucknall, the simple red. But it didn’t go to plan, as money was too tight to mention.(drum roll)

And on that note, good night!

Oasis are just set to embark on probably the highest grossing worldwide tour ever !

And some people are tired of the club making the most of the fact that both brothers ,like everyone else on this forum are life long blues and would literally do anything for the club and if pushed ,probably for free !

Don’t get some people ?

Even if there music is not to ur taste ,why would u want the club to distance themselves from this ?

When they perform to millions and millions of people around the globe next year with a cardboard cut out of Pep on stage and a great big City crest on the drum kit !how can this be a bad thing ?

Just roll with it !

We did the same with Ricky Hatton back in the day when he was the hottest boxer on the planet, but he was dropped as soon as his decline started.

It's marketing and so good that the club use it to boost our and the people involved profiles.

Just send @jrb in your place if you can't go. He can stick on a fake moustache and go in undetected. Failing that, send lexstar, he loves Danny.

Don't like them or their music, but I get this point. Apart from the assumption they would do something for the club for free.

But I am still bored of it tho.

I agree. We have all worn City related clothing at some point travelling the world or spoke to people about our love for the club.
If you were famous would you stop?
You are promoting the club, and the club is promoting you.
You scratch their back and they will scratch yours.
Look at that Oasis/City top and how many it’s sold.

There maybe some weirdo’s in South America that don’t know the club, as soon as Oasis rock up next year they will be aware when seeing the badge on the drums etc….

Just look at Ipswich & Ed Sheeran

Back on topic, let’s get this stand built and call it the Francis Lee Stand.

I don't think I'd be welcomed after some of the comments and outbursts about the club I've posted on Blue Moon.

That aside, I've not spoken to or seen Danny Wilson for years.

I don't think he'd recognise me now if I went instead of Tim.

Without a third tier, at the back of the new stand you're going to be a long way from the pitch.... The pics make it rather obvious. Haa anyone compared it with back of St James Park?

My concern over the 5 rows is that it will inevitably have away fans in as guests ( as the boxes do ) which is not a good look in our new home 'end'

It will happen , I've been in the home parts of a few grounds as a 'guest'
