North Stand Construction Discussion

Could be, I've been wondering for awhile how that works. It may explain the odd vertical end supports with the 2 yellow temporary connections, it'll be interesting to see what happens. Would make a great video maybe but it could be a long job.
Usually done by controlled lowering with an interlinked hydraulic jacking system.

The pavers are unsightly. I'm guessing there will be landscaping around the hotel and fan area and that will include putting in new flooring???
I thought they might take the opportunity to do something right around the stadium and Joe Mercer Way but perhaps not.

Pavers is probably the word I was looking for. I never know what to call it other than the floor!

They probably will, but there is still work to be done on the canal side of the arena with the new retail and restaurants ,so any resurfacing of JMW will probbably happen when that's all done.

Posted the pictures of the landscaping from the Design Statement here

One wonders if the temporary yellow supports and the yellow blocks on the end support will be removed when the cables all fixed ?
Looks to me like the cables are not fully tightened and that when they take those yellow pieces out that’s how they will do it ?
When they remove the temporary yellow supports

Looking like GA seats will be end of the year / Jan 26.
Hospitality areas open towards the back end of the 25/26 season.

Hotel and office space Late 2026

What about the GA+ seats at the front of NSL2?

At the start of next season? ;-)

Stunning flight this week @ssskies - amazing detail!

I think that one of the purlins has been installed the wrong way round. The top surface of the upstands which will take the skywalk platform are all parallel apart from this one. I think it needs rotating through 180°

can't believe they'd put it up the wrong way round, what does the equivalent on the other side of the stand look like?
The North West side of the roof has the upstands but there aren't any on the North East side:

They may be nothing to do with the Rooftop Walk as the route is shown parallel with the roof beams in the Design and Access Statement. Maybe they've tweaked the design.

Aren't they too far back to be related to the roofwalk?

Edit: they don't appear to be anywhere close to it looking at a top down view, as they're the wrong side of the cable connections by the looks.
