North Stand Construction Discussion

I’m in Macc too, just interested to know what time you were back?
The Macclesfield one returned to Waters Green at ten past midnight due to it being late for collection at the Etihad and also the driver witnessed a hit and run so we were delayed by 45 minutes with that. Out of the original 6 passengers 3 were picked up from the incident so it was 3 passengers straight to Macclesfield.

There were 2 Macc buses. Ours was the one parked on the academy (no others that I could see). We were back at Macc Station at 11.25, only a few minutes after the death train (but only after I showed the driver the way!). Heard the other Macc bus had problems

Yeah I was on the earlier one which dropped us off on Ashton New Road and was supposed to pick us up there but ended up being down the side of the old Merecedes garage. I thought they would go to the academy like the free trial one did, that was perfect. I can't see them running 2 buses from Macc if only 14 people in total used it although it was only announced on the thursday before the game.

Yeah and (like most things) it was difficult to find details on the website, I only got it off the link on Bluemoon. Maybe alex@citymatters could suggest to the club they publicise it more effectively!

If City get this right it could be a great alternative to travelling by car or on the last cattle train home. As a kid I would regularly catch the Bullocks coach from Marple to Maine Road, it parked at Finglands garage.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been a survey of fans from around the region to gauge interest.

@Alex - City Matters what is happening with this seems to be dragging on forever, Can't we just demand a meeting with Danny Wilson regarding the GA+ issue in the New North Stand

Danny Wilson and the club will only see and speak to 1894 and other City fan groups when they want to. They won't be pushed into doing anything they don't want to do. Danny Wilson will be reading the thread and the comments in it. We all have a good idea of how the club works. The meeting will happen. No point in getting worked up about it. Guessing. I expect a bit of movement by the club on certain issues regarding the fans and the North stand expansion, but not much. I could be wrong on that, but I doubt I am. The opening of the stand is 2 years away at a least, so there is plenty of time for meetings and discussions with the club, whether those discussions come to anything or not? For now enjoy the construction of the North stand. :-)
