Ahh I see, we all know its going to happen. Hence the hotel. Be ashame
I used it from Macc for the Newcastle game. Was OK, bit frustrating stopping at loads of places where no one got on, but overall better than the criminally overcrowded last train back to Macc. Parked in the academy so pretty convenient. Only 8 of us on a 72 seater!Has anyone used this yet?
Ideally, has anyone used it from New Mills to the ground?
With trains out of service for the day, wouldn't mind using this service if anyone can help.
Would be for me and my two kids
Maybe need to advertise it more all over their social media , do a video or something on youtubeI used it from Macc for the Newcastle game. That’s disappointing. It won’t last long with that level of passengers.I used it from Macc for the Newcastle game. The Macclesfield one returned to Waters Green at ten past midnight due to it being late for collection at the Etihad and also the driver witnessed a hit and run so we were delayed by 45 minutes with that. Out of the original 6 passengers 3 were picked up from the incident so it was 3 passengers straight to Macclesfield.I’m in Macc too, just interested to know what time you were back?
Cheers fella. That’s actually not too bad, might try it one day.The Macclesfield one returned to Waters Green at ten past midnight due to it being late for collection at the Etihad and also the driver witnessed a hit and run so we were delayed by 45 minutes with that. There were 2 Macc buses. Ours was the one parked on the academy (no others that I could see). We were back at Macc Station at 11.25, only a few minutes after the death train (but only after I showed the driver the way!). Heard the other Macc bus had problemsCheers fella. Yeah I was on the earlier one which dropped us off on Ashton New Road and was supposed to pick us up there but ended up being down the side of the old Merecedes garage. I thought they would go to the academy like the free trial one did, that was perfect. I can't see them running 2 buses from Macc if only 14 people in total used it although it was only announced on the thursday before the game. There were 2 Macc buses. Yeah and (like most things) it was difficult to find details on the website, I only got it off the link on Bluemoon. Maybe alex@citymatters could suggest to the club they publicise it more effectively!Yeah I was on the earlier one which dropped us off on Ashton New Road and was supposed to pick us up there but ended up being down the side of the old Merecedes garage. @Alex - City Matters what is happening with this seems to be dragging on forever, Can't we just demand a meeting with Danny Wilson regarding the GA+ issue in the New North StandWe haven’t been given a date for a meeting - but we’re in contact with the club about this.
A few of the CM reps are helping us.
I’m surprised there hasn’t been a survey of fans from around the region to gauge interest. If City get this right it could be a great alternative to travelling by car or on the last cattle train home. As a kid I would regularly catch the Bullocks coach from Marple to Maine Road, it parked at Finglands garage.
