Your work was very much appreciated my friend , my bad though I'll look a little earlier next time lol.Haha hilarious, just as I finished figuring out where that steel goes that I was intrigued by, they go and put it in place. Had you posted the video a couple hours earlier, would have saved me the bother lol.
Excellent work @Coatigan your drawing helps bring what is happening at the site, keep up the good workThat's an excellent photo. Will be really interesting seeing them remove the existing structure.
Seriously excellent work there, much appreciated even if you were gazumped :)Which incidentally also really highlights the sheer scale of the stadium extension.
Section 1: existing north stand, the main structural column and cables they are building around currently, highlighted in green.
Section 2: new extension section overlaid, and the current steel tower you see in the video and images is highlighted in purple. We are actually one bay away from the main roof support which is one bay back. The steel beam circled above, is the big fuck-off diagonal at the top and the nibs are indeed the seat step props.
Secrion 3: the new extension itself, with the current roof, support structure, and bays that will be removed highlighted in red. More to show the difference it will make and the sheer scale of it.

Appreciated mate thank you. That's an excellent photo. Will be really interesting seeing them remove the existing structure.
why's it fenced off now , I went down couple of days ago and was all open much more space to walk seems odd
Well seeing as the signage isn’t yet complete and there are still lots of fences around it then … No, it doesn’t look ready. Lots of progress since the last home game though. Is the arena looking ready now? Opens in just over a week.
Interesting, they are starting the next bay back, up at level 4/5 and working back down the way, rather than from the ground up.
In the last drone video from Friday I noticed the foundations for the next bay back were not fully formed with the pad and bolts up to take the next colums. They seem to be using that stretch as a bit of a thoroughfare for moving machinery and material. Just assumed they wouldn't get to that bay (which will be the main roof support at the top) till they clear room for themselves, but just a day later, they are on it but starting at a high level! Whoever is in charge of the phasing of this must either be absolutely loving the challenge, or hating it.
It is getting to that stage now where a couple days here and there can make a noticeable difference, with the pace this phase is going at.
