Apologies if asked before but does anyone know the SWL of the cranes being used

Found it after a bit of digging.

The 2 largest cranes of the original 5 cranes, now down to 4 cranes. The same crane was used for the South stand expansion.

Developed by Select and Terex, the CTL 1600-66 is one of the world's largest luffing jib tower cranes. The CTL1600-66 luffing jib tower crane has a maximum capacity of 66 t and a jib tip capacity of 16 t with a jib length of 30-75 m.

Fitted with Terex Power Plus which boosts operating capacity by an extra 10% when needed.

Includes T-Link (Terex telematics system) which allows for remote retrieval of fleet data through web access, anytime and from any location.

I also found some of the pictures of the crane being erected at the South stand in 2014, which I posted again in 2024.

Phew! Doesn't time fly.

whats a (metric) ton between friends?

So basically atop those 8 spindly columns there's going to be over 12 ton of steelwork onto which the whole fecking roof is going to hang off and a fat nacker or two wobbling across the skywalk sh*tting their pants!

Good job these architects know what they're doing!
I'm hoping they've run the plans passed a structural engineer rather than rely on the architects pretty drawings.

The new boy is a huge bugger.

If the club fuck up the seating/standing arrangements and don't set up a loud & boisterous atmosphere someone needs sacking.

Move the away fans doon to ESL110/111 and make SSL3/2 all City and we could have one of the best atmospheres in England.

It can be done if the will is there.

Two ends are better than one !!

If we continue to concede for fun and slip down the league they will struggle to fill it.
