Is INEOS in debt?

At Ineos Group alone the debt pile is expected to climb to almost €12bn (£10bn) this year, according to Fitch, or more than five times its earnings. The agency said there was “uncertainty” over the plan to repay related-party loans of £800m to other parts of the Ineos business empire.5 days ago.

Scruffy Jim's empire is crumbling, this rag decline may well be just beginning, the gift that keeps giving.
This story has appeared in the business press and the Guardian but has been virtually ignored by the UK media. I wonder why. Ratcliffe is in a dire situation and so are United. They have huge debts and apparently can't pay them. The longer this goes on the better. A buyer will come in at some point.

I have read a lot about Ineos the last few days, for me it's an empire built on sand and also it seems like a glorified pyramid scheme, one company borrowing off another, it would not surprise me to see it all collapse very quickly.

Probably be state run soon if Coe & Co get their way.

Goldfish saying the same this morning. The PL and Government should bail them out. They are the biggest club in the world don't you know? Sir Matt Busby, SAF, The class of 92, The Busby babes, tha Munich air disaster, Duncan Edwards. An institution.
He only has to look at the other month being bailed out by some spurious covid deal.

Agreed , but I don’t recollect seeing them before so are you sure they were cast it ? Not that it matters in the slightest by the way !!
You are correct, those stubs must of been post welded at some point, it was only a plate cast-in item behind flush with the column face

That's exactly the private equity model all over, it works until it doesn't. The moment credit tightens, demand softens, or one of its high-profile bets tanks, the whole system starts to look incredibly fragile. The moment refinancing becomes difficult or economic conditions take a turn, the whole structure can unravel fast.

Can we get some big heavy lump to test it before we give it a go?
