some ballsy flying through the cranes this morning by ssskies - as he said in the video no-one was around so safe to do it, but still gave me heebie jeebies - also, anyone got any thoughts on those spikes on the top of the back of the new stand - can't just be to keep the pidgeons off! ;-)

Guessing a layer of insulation then the final ( metal ? ) roof covering ?? If you look closely at the spikes the tops are “T” shaped so obviously to support something

See gordyola's response, which maybe inadvertently shows how easily things might run away with themselves online, and lead to misplaced speculation and get amplified by social media etc.

In some ways, damned if they do damned if they don't, Sisk.

If they don't try discourage everything discussed at the events being shared, then they'd likely be far less open about things, more cagey in discussions, and generally guarded. Then the people attending the events suffer and come away thinking it wasn't very open.

If they do suggest people don't share, but then openly discuss and engage as it sounds they have, then others think why all so secretive.

As I said, I don't think they will come after anyone, and I don't think they would necessarily be bothered with people sharing certain gemeric discussions etc. But I'm more than happy to respect however people apply that.

They will also know fine well people attending will discuss it with close friends and family, in the pub, in person etc. Maybe even show images in person in private chats etc. Their issue is more likely to be it being put on general social media and snowballing out of control from there.

Yep they asked that images taken from the viewing platform aren't shared on social media said of course in the public domain no problem

If that's too difficult, don't go or apologise and absent yourself.

Any other reaction is unacceptable!!

459 panels on the spirals, a further 262 on the building, to contribute to the plan to make the stadium net zero by 2030.

Why would you put them on the spirals rather than the roof of the stands?

Neither are visible from ground level but the stand roof has more space to work with.

Surely now we can accommodate some solar panels on the skybar roof ??

Neither are visible from ground level but the stand roof has more space to work with.

I'd assume that there might be weight considerations for the roof given its construction

There are a fair few on the hotel and office, might be some skybar roof as well tbh, can't quite recall now.

It should be law that any new build and existing public buildings and car parks should get solar panels before any solar farms are built on agricultural land
