North Stand Construction Discussion

This is a bit of a trial with a 360 camera hung from the drone.
You can move the screen around and look where you like.
No commentary just music at the moment as cant figure out how to get a voice on it.
Quality may not be the best, its still very early days with this

This is next level. Absolutely superb @cpoverview, can't wait till you master the technology.

What camera were you using? Insta 360 x3? Good work. I see Insta are bringing out some 360 drones to try rival DJI.

Can’t wait to get in side the ground and see what it going to feel like with the new stand. Might be a bit strange this season until it fully opens but will be good seeing it progress over autumn and winter .

Really ? Not being nasty but the picture quality was shite, its normally amazing.
you really need 8K to get 360 quality to the same level as flat 4K - I've held off and held off from buying a 360 camera because of this challenge - the latest Insta360's are getting there but prohibitively expensive even with mad my priorities for wasting money on tech kit (as domestic CFO would testify... ;-) )

I was following volcanic eruptions near Grindavik, a fishing town in the South East of Iceland. It was besieged by lava and earthquakes and the erupting volcanos were monitored by drones that would fly through the lava plumes and into the craters. Some drones were lost. They sometimes created 3D images and also used infrared. They had what they called sport drones. There were also drones that you could fly remotely from your own pc. There would be a drone flyer in the area, and they would handover the controls to someone connected through the internet and let them fly it, and takeover if anything went wrong.

Great stuff CP you really are into this drone flying in a big way.

You have kept us New Stand followers up to date with some great videos, thank you.

I've just viewed this on my newly purchased VR headset. Astounding!! Amazing work, and really let's you see how it all hangs together. Great work

'Symmetry is overrated'
Those of us who went to Maine Road are used to missmatched Symmetry. I used to like it when we had the old Kippax and Platt Lane stands, I found the stadium quirkyly endearing. Can't say the same about the new stands that replaced them though. I found them a cheap looking eyesore.

As for the Etihad, although it's mostly uniform in looks, I can't really take to it with the same affection. It has grown on me over the years, but...
