North Stand Construction Discussion

Question.

Are we now going to have the 300 City Hall hospitality fans at the back of SSL1, and the 270, or whatever the amount is, GA+ fans at the front of NSL2?
Answer.

City Hall hospitality states that it has a capacity of 500 (not 350 as I've previously mentioned, so apologies for any confusion caused). NS tier 0 of course.

No one will need to move from the front of tier 1 as they have stated that also, no one knows what's happening behind the hoardings though.

Given they've released details about the City Hall seats then the rest of the information must be forthcoming very shortly.

Thanks for numbers correct.

I thought the front few rows of NSL2 was going to be made GA+ seats, with the hospitality room below and behind those seats, shown in the PA? Or is it the seats behind the current hoardings? I can’t remember properly.

If anyone can repost the images instead of me trawling through the PA again, that would be great. I should have saved the images in a folder for future reference. Arrrgh!

That was what was shown on the PA but the club made a point of saying no one at the front of the upper tier in existing seats would need to move (if they wanted to), so if there is some GA+ up there (can't see it not happening, but we'll see) it will have to be behind the hoardings close to the vomitories for easy access to the Crossbar.

You may we
Where are you getting the 300 GA+ seats all on the one level from?

Is that just based on the reported capacity of the one bar, or has there been something else I havent seen.

From what we know so far, if I haven't missed something. As it stands, the approval has 648 GA+ seats on tier 1. With a 300 capacity bar. There has been no change reported to that yet.

There is then a publicised 500 capacity city hall '+'offering with an unspecified number of seats to go with it at tier 0, that involves existing users relocating, and a price of 2.7k published.

It may be a replacement to the 648 above, or it may be additional, and we don't know that or the total numbers yet.

Sorry for seeming pedantic, just checking I havent missed anything, and I have also been (annoyingly) persistent in pointing out assumptions the other way, so just being consistent really.
Your rationale may be correct and your posts have been very helpful. We will find out in due course the precise numbers.

My underlying point was more about the relatively small number of GA+ seats in the new, huge tier, having no bearing on the atmosphere that can be created by the thousands of other fans on that one level.

Does any body know if there is a penalty clause on the date of completion
Penalty clauses on construction projects are not legal.

They call them liquidated damages. This provides for compensation to the client for late completion. They is based on a 'reasonable' pre-estimate of losses caused by the delayed handover rather than a punishment to the contractor.

If applicable, the damages would include for losses through reduced ticket sales. It is almost certain that the contract would include provision for compensation for late completion.

The truth is nobody knows.

It may be that the 648 GA+ seats at the start of tier 1 have been swapped with the top of L0. With a 500 capacity offering within the city hall. Or swapped and increased in number, relatice to the bar offering capacity.

Or it may be they shifted up a few levels to what is the additional new seating, with the 500 city hall and hospitality an additional GA+ offering.

I speculated the former, hellocity the latter. Both are logical and make sense. The second has a slight mismatch with the wording used, but depends on interpretation of language. The first is consistent with the description, but arguably incomplete.

The fact they have releast the hospitality prices for one area may be some hope that that's that and thr 648 above is no more. Or it might mean that more be announced later.

It is very much a make of it what you will job, but we have noted the communication being parial to poor previously in all fairness.

It's all good, was just checking whether it was interpretation or if there has been something additional recently. Till the club announce anything, all we can do is speculate I guess.

I get what u mean ,but that fact the nearly 50000 turned up in the most depressing week of the year for a match against the bottom of the league, to support a team that has just lost a derby and a match against a team of part timers who haven’t played for 2 months shows the sheer bloody mindness and commitment of our fans ?

Sometimes silence ,says more
Official attendance: 52,469

I agree with you mate.

We’re now in late January and apart from the City Hall announcement on NSL1, another hospitality section announcement, everything else regarding NSL2 is still up in the air.
