You know I’m right though. You know what I’m getting it. You want the stand to be out home end. That would have included the 1800 match day capacity City Hall. It would have been brilliant. Can i just say... ;)

No its not.Its all over the video they released
This is my point. We have gone from a drinking hall with a capacity of 1800 to what? Some outlets in the hotel that nobody knows exactly what. A plan for the ground floor of the hotel that shows no details of bars. It seems only you and I are actually bothered.Let me start by saying, this is not a moan, before I get accused of moaning again. It’s an observation.
City Hall.
In the PA, I thought, like many other people, City Hall was going to be one huge bar area, with a capacity of 1800 for all City fans to mix and to enjoy pre and post match, similar to the much smaller bar at the back of SSL1, which has been a huge success, and is always packed with City fans of all ages enjoying a chant, drinks, and a sing song.
From the PA.

Somewhere down the line City decided to do away with that 1800 capacity City Hall open to all City fans, and instead they decided to divide City Hall up and create another hospitality area within City Hall, called…… City Hall.(hospitality)
CITY HALL
City Hall has been created as a lively social space for fans who enjoy an energetic matchday atmosphere.
The space will feature large screens and a live DJ, while on non-matchdays, City Hall will act as a flexible hub for events.
Fans in City Hall will enjoy a welcome drink on arrival, with gourmet street food available for purchase.
Padded seats are located at the back of Level 0 in the North Stand.

Some people might say so what, it’s just another hospitality bar for City fans. Fair enough.
The point being, from ‘my perspective’, looking at the PA, the original City Hall was going to cater for all City fans coming into it from the City fan zone. It would be a ‘single hall’ for everyone on a match day to meet, chant, drink, sing songs, etc. It would be our home end bar, serving all City fans, a hall that’s now been made smaller to fit in a 500 capacity(?) table and seats City Hall hospitality area.
I get it, some people on here won’t be arsed. It’s more match day revenue for the club. Even though the original 1800 capacity City Hall would have generated a huge match day revenue in itself. Again, hospitality revenue over GA fan revenue.
If I’m wrong in my thinking about City Hall as it is now, fair enough, I’ll accept the correct explanation.
Fire away.
I think everyone was expecting City hall to be open to all, I certainly did and find it disappointing (to say the least) that it's not.Let me start by saying, this is not a moan, before I get accused of moaning again. It’s an observation.

There are double sided bars between City Hall & City Square (shown in the pic that jrb put up) so you do have bars available in City Square directly (this is presuming there's no further "surprises"). Nobody knows what exactly will be in the Food & Beverage outlets. This is my point. We have gone from a drinking hall with a capacity of 1800 to what? I'm not sure there will be bars in the Food & Beverage outlets (there may be a clue in the name ;) ), but from memory, the layout and facilities will be down to whoever gets the lease. This is my point. We have gone from a drinking hall with a capacity of 1800 to what? So you didn't see loads of people eating etc ?No its not.
Fucking hell mate chill, check the video out, i can't believe you are wetting your knickers over this. This is my point. We have gone from a drinking hall with a capacity of 1800 to what? was that not the original plan that has changed? Anyway, I appreciate your help on this. City fans will be spoilt for choice on match days when everything is open, i can't believe people are getting worked up over it...bizarre...Off topic, but compare to the remodeled City Hall.
Underneath the Spurs home end they have the Goal Line Bar.
Our 65 metre Goal Line Bar runs the entire length of the goal line - this bar is the longest in the UK.

I have multiple times and i'm not seeing what you are seeing. Post the picture with buying food from outlets and folk eating and I will shut the fuck up.Fucking hell mate chill, check the video out, i can't believe you are wetting your knickers over this.
We’re discussing it.City fans will be spoilt for choice on match days when everything is open, i can't believe people are getting worked up over it...bizarre...
He’s doing what he always does, making it about himself and his views and opinions, whilst ignoring other people’s valid views and opinions, which are valid.I have multiple times and i'm not seeing what you are seeing. I should just let go of my ocd mate. I'm sure plans will be announced when they are ready. I was looking forward to City Hall but it is what it is.He’s doing what he always does, making it about himself and his views and opinions, whilst ignoring other people’s valid views and opinions, which are valid.
Fair enough mate. I always try and accept other people’s opinions and views. You are entitled to your opinion mate and i respect it as you post so much good and positive stuff on the forum and this is defo a development close to your heart. The crux of it for me is unless the club basically lose money on the current beer prices etc as the sheer cost of staffing the bars, security and even police is a huge matchday cost on the club before they start? Then will always be a majority that just like their matchday routine so that isnt going to change even if they try the Medlock square as its just not them? Maybe if City are doing their own brewery then it might change the prices but i think there are many that just arent having this North Stand expansion as it also has crossed in to ticket prices etc. The end of the day though, it’s going to look amazing and the only way the atmosphere changes is down to the fans? We HAVE to make that difference either way and enjoy it as when Pep goes then its even more dicey than it is now imo. :-)

There look to be three spaces for F & B on the ground floor of the hotel, each accessible from either Medlock Square or the tram side of the hotel or the stadium side of the hotel. The three spaces are divided by the hotel lobby and a corridor.
The images of Medlock Square show a lot going on. Trees, deckchairs, activities etc and if you look closely some access to food through the doors lining Medlock Square into the 'hotel'. It will be interesting to see how they configure the food and bars when two of the three spaces inside don't actually face onto Medlock Square where the vast majority of fans will be. One thing that I guess aint happening is a 65 metre long bar designed for home support.
Fair enough mate. I always try and accept other people’s opinions and views.
If I’m reading part of your reply correctly, City might lose money from the beer prices due to staffing and security levels at the bar/s? Apologies if that isn’t right?
There is no way the club is losing money from the SSL1 bar. It’s packed. The bar staffing levels are adequate. Stewarding is at a minimum and located mainly at the turnstiles. The DJ eats into the bar profits playing a limited amount of Manchester tunes. ;-)
The original 1800 capacity City Hall would have turned over a huge match day revenue.
No doubt City crunched the numbers and decided the 500 capacity City Hall hospitality area would take more money for it’s size, and it was worth losing that area from the original City Hall proposal, including the hospitality seats at the back of NSL1.
As there is no further information on the remaining City Hall area, we don’t know what is happening with it yet.
