You’re probably correct. That way City don’t take the financial risk, bar expecting it to be a success, and to complement the existing offer at the Etihad stadium and the Etihad Campus.

That is most often how these types of builds work. We know from what was publicly available that all the F&B outlets were designed as 'shell only', so I would go with that highly likely being the case here.

Any news when the north stand is supposed to open?
I thought it was supposed to open around now or before the end of the season with the hotel and Medlock square next year.

It has been suggested in this topic that City/Sisk would like to open the stand by the end of the season and that there might be test events soon. Touch and go, I think.
 
With everything that had City on being rebranded as part of this development

As part of selling the area to make it a destination like Spinningfields

This is purely a suggestion only

The whole area will be called Medlock Yards and will feature two areas: Medlock Sq & Medlock Plaza

Medlock Sq & Mamma Live are all part of the Medlock Sq development, and Medlock Plaza will feature numbers 3 and 4

I still think that COSM will end up here, as it attaches itself to every sports facility in the US and fits in with the immersive theme that city are going for.

3 & 4 could be anything in the picture below, but you need to see what major sports teams in the US are doing by having sports facilities attached to entertainment districts, making the clubs have all year-round income that does not depend on match day income only

It should have been open by now and City are pissed off that it's not. It should be open for the Villa match but it could just be the seats and nothing else apparently

It is not actually.

I was on about the two circa 9-10m tall club badge that was on the approved designs, that was then removed so the restaurant could have 'unimpeded views' onto the coop. Only for said restaurant then to make zero use of those views and cluster its layout inwards. That's all.

The small panel up there is one that will eventually be reglazed.
