North Stand Construction Discussion

Yesterday, I walked past Neville's new building (between Albert Square and Deansgate). It is called St Michael's and it is huge. I mention it because it is covered by sails like City's hotel. I had not come across sails until City's hotel went up but they are really prominent on Neville's building.

I took a photo on my phone but it was rubbish, so I took this CGI from Place North West which shows how the sails look.

You are spot on @Marvin. You can see them from all angles, not like the hotel, where they disappear depending on what angle you look at them from. Retrofitting them would also make the fins on the hotel more secure as at the moment they looked like they were just hooked on

You are dreaming if you think they are going to refit new fins !!

It's not refit, retrofit, add a bit on to make the fins more 3D when looking straight at it. LED lighting would be good, also

Straight on looks like a Travelodge

Thanks jrb I think the next one I'd go for would have a thermal camera on, but expensive at £4k+!!
